  1. Thank you all for your comments, its much appreciated and gives a more 'realistic' approach to the whole idea! Sadie
  2. Hello We are still only considering the process at the moment, my husband who would be the main visa applicant has no health issues, we are both 43 this year and i suffered a Brain Aneurism when i was 18 and surgery on my lower back 9 years ago....dont think the back will be an issue, but will the brain surgery? I had my aneurism clipped successfully and have had no issues since then, it was completely cured with the clipping. Anyone else had a brain issue? Sadie
  3. Hi Thanks for that. Due to our age (43 this year) we do need to get a wriggle on, if we are to do it. i checked out TES Australia yesterday and there seemed quite a bit on there, but i guess with local candidates being more preferable and 'younger' ones too....pesky kids!! LOL. It is a minefield and i know we might be banging our heads against a brick wall, but you never know! We are off to Florida in August so what ever we do will have to wait until after that, £'s!!! in the meantime i will keep on researching and asking questions! Thank you.
  4. Hi we haven't even started the process yet, but testing the water: Husband Head Teacher of Primary school. BA degree in Geography and primary teaching. Has been teaching for 15 years in both outstanding and challenging schools in London, Bristol and where we are now in Portishead! We couldn't afford to 'start over' and take a junior role, but most people i have spoken to have said that might not be the case! Sadie
  5. Thank you so much for your honesty, its much appreciated! I know where you are coming from and totally get you. It is only a 'thought' at the moment.....I have just recently lost both my parents so now feel that i have no roots here anymore! it might be just the grieving process but i feel we need a fresh start......! x
  6. Hi there, I am new to all this, we are currently thinking about making the move, my husband is a Primary School Head teacher/Master over here and has been for a number of years, we are both 43 this year, so need to get a move on....However i was wondering if Head Teachers/Principals are sought after in Oz? He is convinced not but after speaking to a few immigration advisory people they seem to think they are and that most are better paid than in UK by about 30% Anyone got any advice or pointers please thank you Sadie
