  1. Nice to hear! What did you do to get to use the customs express route? Seems like a very nice advantage after such a flight! Will keep you posted once we arrived and settled a bit! Enjoy!
  2. Hi Wen, you wasted no time! What's your first impression of Adelaide? Did you have to show any papers (visa or so?) at airport security? What area are you living in now? We have a studio for our first month near Blackwood... Gr Chris
  3. Hi Wendox, maybe you counted points skills that are not cumulative?? If you read carefully the points system you should find the answer...
  4. Hi Eddie, our house is sold too, flight booked for the 16th of January!! First 10 days in / around Perth while cats are in quarantine, then flight to Adelaide. Where are you going to? Gr Chris
  5. Hi all, Just want to share my opinion, even though I haven't moved to Oz yet. People tend to look at others so often, whether it's for making decisions or not, many don't trust their own instinct anymore. I am reading this post too, but deep down I know I won't let me guide here. It's more out of curiosity. I learned to go with my gut, feelings that come from deep down. Those feelings tell me I want to live in Oz for the weather, the lifestyle, nature & wildlife, etc, for this period of my life. Nobody knows what he/she will want in 5, 10 or 20 years. We change, our interests change, accept it and act accordingly. You might be thinking, that's easy, you haven't even moved to Oz yet. And that's true. Right, well, lets talk in a few years then... What can I say? I will have had time to build my new life to the fullest as I am dreaming it now. If at some point I start missing things like family too much, it might be a sign to come back. If negative feelings supersede the positive ones, then you are maybe in the wrong place, or there could be other things going wrong in your life that influence your decision. Either way, YOU should investigate where those feelings come from. I honestly believe that when you live your life truly from within, there are no wrong moves. There is no harm in having doubt, as long as you follow your own path. Stop seeing it as a "mistake" to emigrate, or move back, it's the path of life, embrace it. If you already think you might regret the move back to Europe, then stay right where you are, because you probably will. I'm taking my flight soon, with open heart and no regrets, towards the life I believe suits me best. And if I'd have to come back because I don't feel happy (after a thorough evaluation), then I will.... Hope this can help some of you out! Take care Chris
  6. Hang in there! Before you know it, you'll be booking your flights! :cute:
  7. Hey froggles, I'm from Belgium and my occupation is Network Analyst - code 263113. Greets
  8. Thank you all for the kind wishes!! @Sadiqq: I am offshore applicant "Good things come, to those who wait" (in this case, those who have already waited for a long time!) Cheers!
  9. Ehm... I think my signature is pretty complete now!
  10. Hi all, VISA GRANTED! got the long awaited email this morning! What a relief!! 3.5 months of waiting and finally we can start making plans! I hope all of you will hear some news soon! -

  12. Hi Oz111, after submitting documents your application needs to be picked-up again, this could take a while. In my case it took several weeks after i uploaded the last documents before receiving the delay email. They will not reply to say they received medicals. I'd say it's likely that you will hear something by mid or end of May, but be prepared for an answer that doesn't say anything more than "you have to wait a some more now" Hang in there
  13. Hi, I had (still have) Team 6 Adelaide. They contacted me recently for more documentation on my claimed experience, and two weeks later they sent me the delay email. There are enormous delays with the processing this year, so do not worry yet. If they need something, they will ask. You will receive some news soon. Be prepared to receive a delay email instead of a grant email though... Stay positive! Gr Weaz
  14. Hi All, I want to let you know that I have also received the famous "delay email" saying there are serious delays due to planning levels being reached for this program year. I do not get an indication of when the visa will be finalized. I guess there is not much else to do than to be patient, again!

  16. I think your medicals have just been cleared actually... Now processing will be continued by a CO. It doesn't sound like a bad thing
  17. I understand that. The most logical thing to do is to call and demand proof of your application. Let them know you will be calling every hour of the day until you saw what you want to see. You are working with a registered agent right?!
  18. @Sira: Chances are that your agent made the payment to DIBP, and charges you separately (later). Wouldn't worry about that. As long as it says "status submitted" you should be fine. @tigerfeet: You might have a CO but not know about it. If they don't need anything, they won't contact you. Consider it a good thing. You can always call them to confirm that. Hang in there, there will be news soon. These are tough times but we will learn so much from it.
  19. They seem to be really busy, I was asked to upload additional documentation, have uploaded everything since almost 2 weeks, and again no news... Keep us posted
  20. Same for me, finally! Team 6 Adelaide. Been asked for additional proof of my work experience, which is pretty annoying because I have to get everything translated before I can send it. But happy that there is progress of course!:cute:
  21. Tigerfeet, I'm afraid it's not for invitations only. There's a post stating his/her grant is delayed until July even though PCC & Medicals completed.... So, I'm not saying it's 100% sure, or that it is for everyone, but it's not looking good either. If true, it is going to create a storm... Living so long with each leg in a different country is no joke. Let's wait for official updates.
  22. @kapildeverampu there is a post for the february gang already on the link below http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/204239-190-visa-february-lodge-gang-2014-a.html There have been no recent CO allocations or grants as far as I know for people who lodged in January. (Except maybe some of the early January lodgers) Take some time to read back the posts in here and try to relax, it's a long ride. :daydreaming: Most people here have been waiting for more than 4 weeks already...
  23. Focusing at work is becoming harder and harder.... Almost unbearable!
  24. PWA, WA has a waiting time of 30 days for state nomination, so wait another week or two and they will get back to you since you have 60 points. They will check if your qualifications match, motivation, English skills, possibly your funds etc. Try to keep life going on as always, and keep busy. You could check Perthpoms.com where many people are waiting also Hope this helps a bit Take care!
