Thanks pom queen I'm not sure self employed is a good option as I'm moving from uk. My ideal job would be working for an ex pom is there any out there.

I have 20 yrs experience as a decorator and have been running my own business for the last 2 yrs. We ideally want to move to the Kiama area of NSW but will go where the work is. Does anyone know where decorators are needed? Heard Perth might be better? Also seen a few jobs in Adelaide but haven't done any research there. Thanks in advance

I'm a little confused with the school fees. We are hoping to move to Oz on a permanent visa and have 2 children aged 8 & 6. Can anyone advise us on which category we would have to pay school fees? Thanks

Hello, I've been a deputy head at a large primary school for 3 years and am looking to move to NSW and teach part-time initially until my family are settled. I've heard lots about there being no primary teaching jobs out there - is this still the case? Ideally I'd prefer to be in a primary school but my degree covers me for 4-11. I phoned AITSL but was advised that primary teachers are not on the SOL and I would not be eligible to have my skills assessed for early childhood teacher instead. Does anyone have any advice on this? I'm planning on moving to Oz as a family member on my husband's visa as he is on the SOL so am able to do casual work if required. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
