All seems to be okay with this area, we looked at the Shire also but wanted to be north of the river as most of my work will be M5/M4 area. Have you moved to Sydney yet or are you due out? We are planning on August/September and house has now been sold so all systems go. Will be looking for schooling for 7 and 14 yr old girls.

Hi, We are heading out to the Sydney in August this year and have been trying to find short term furnished rental whilst waiting for our container to arrive. I've looked at the normal sites, Seek, Domain, Stayz but can't really see anything apart from in Cronulla. If anyone has any advice on their experiences or any other sites to look at it would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Lorraine, Thank you so much for your detailed response, this is really helpful. We stayed in Cronulla when we visited back in 2009 and spent a lot of the time around the Shire and in the National Park. I need to ensure I am in commuting distance of the CBD or M5 corridor as this is where my trade is mostly located. The move seems the easiest part but finding the right location is a headache! We look like we are also heading to the Shire in October this year and we have two girls aged 7 and 13. It's good to have some feedback on the schools to know where to head. Does anyone have any information about Jannali or Slyvania High Schools. My eldest is not really sporty and more academic so the choice of school is very important to us - any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello, We hope to be out later this year and just wondering what the true costs are for shipping dogs out to Oz. I had budgeted approximately £2k door to door and will try a limit time in quarantine by getting rabies vaccination completed in UK to reduce boarding kennel fees. We have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who weights about 12kg at present and reside in Essex. Any info or advice would be appreciated as the online export companies seem to confuse the issue and it would be good to get real experiences and costs.

Hello, We've been looking at rental properties on www.RealEstate.com but would like to know if there are an extra tax amounts to be paid on top of rent similar to UK? If so would it be based on number of bedrooms? Any advice would be appreciated so we can budget accordingly. Thanks

Could anyone give me any guidance on what happens after we have submitted our form 80's for a 175 visa from UK. How long have others waited to get a CO after submission? We got the initial approval in May 2009. We've submitted through our Migration Agent but any advice by others would be appreciated.

Hopefully we will get our CO in the next few months as on a 175 and submitted requested forms from Immigration Dept. Should we wait for two years until our daughter has completed UK GCSE's or push for a quick migration so she can sit Australian equivalent? If she sits her GCSE's can these results be used to gain entry in to the A Level equivalent or will she need to re-sit exams for entry requirements? Any advice would be appreciated.
