  2. Hi Pete, We are off to Perth next year, done the assessment a couple of weeks ago,all ok still got IELTS to sort then a bit of stuff to sort here. I got talking to a couple of lads whilst over there last year,a few hoops to jump through and a few steps back before a nice leap forward by the sounds of it. Good luck with it.
  3. Hi folks I have got my vetasses skills assessment for refrigeration and a/c mechanic in London next Saturday. Has anybody completed the assessment lately? What's it all about? Format? Difficulty etc? Starts at 8am how long does it take? cheers
  4. Get a a grip man,he's commenting on something he has heard about a curry house that is hopefully opening. He is looking forward to it.......the issue is? You would really avoid a potentially excellent restaurant because you don't agree with something that you have read on the internet......weird.
  5. Cheers VS,I'm a fridge man. Anything from house AC to chillers that hold 2000 sides of beef with 20 years experience. Work for myself over here,I will be willing to re train and start lower down the ladder for a while. Site work for me as I can't remember the last time I wore a tie.
  6. Cheers VS,should prob ask on PP but what's Mandaruh like then?
  7. Hello can we live in the Alkimos,Burns beach or Hilary's area NOR on a 489 sponsored visa ? Tia
  8. Great read thanks for the info. I have just started our route to PR, I'm a fridge man with 20 years hands on experience in the commercial AC and fridge game with the last 9 years running my own little business in the UK. I understand that I will have to re do all my tickets and get my licence when we get over to WA,what are the timelines for this? Also how feasible is it to earn $100k a year without living your life on call!?? Cheers
  9. Hiya mate That would come in very handy Dont think I can mail on here yet could you send me an e mail so I can reply Thanks
  10. That is the big question for me. I have to prove that I know what I am doing with paper evidence and sitting of a skills assessment etc just to be offered a visa if everything else is ok. Then if we get over there I dont mind starting over thats the idea for me less stress and hassle than working for myself here! But if I cant work as a basic fridge/ac man, when I have already proven its what I do and its a job on the shortage list without spending $$$$$ on re training and then sat on my arse waiting for them to allow me to earn a living ??? Is it just me being dim or am I missing something??
  11. Hi TeamEdwards That would be a great help if you could ask your fella to pm me if possible as I have loads of ?????? Cheers
  12. Hello I am a fully qualified ref and a/c engineer with 20 years experience. The last 9 years running my own little commercial refrigeration business. I am just looking at all the evidence that I need before my skills assessment etc. Past employee references should be ok etc, company accounts all audited Now I know I will need an Arctik and restricted electrical licence to be able to work over in WA (where we are hopefully heading) Can anybody tell me how I go about obtaining these licences when we get over there and how long it takes? Many thanks
