Hi there I am not having much luck securing work here in Australia - even though my CV was done professionally for me in England. Have applied for 42 jobs and had no joy - not even interviews so have spent the Christmas holiday reworking it. Don't suppose there is anyone out there who knows something about CV's who could just cast their eye over this new CV (My labour of love) and let me know what they think. yes the container comes to your house and they pack and then load depending on the amount of stuff you have it may take two days - the guys who came to us in the UK were superb - it's the other end you may want to worry about........

Hi - thought I would let you know about our recent experience with the above who are partners in removals. I really couldn't fault John Mason at the British end - the girls in the office and the crew who arrived worked tirelessly and went above and beyond as we realised all our items weren't going to fit into our container. However I did feel let down by the Perth end and Wridgways. In a word the crew were extremely lazy. We had requested the service where they helped to put things away. They were reluctant to do anything except drop the boxes off. I had to ask them to put books on bookshelves and files in the filing cabinet. They refused to set up a bed as they weren't sure how it was put together. It was only when I refused to sign their paperwork that all of a sudden they were able to erect the bed after all!:arghh:

hi there My daughter starts high school in Feb - has asked for a laptop for Christmas. Having recently arrived in Oz - not sure which would be the best laptop to get and where we should buy it from. Anyone got any suggestions/recommendations ? :realmad: Cheers Sulac

Thanks for that - I think you are probably right - I have heard so many different thing about private medical insurance. Thanks for the advice.

Hi recently arrived in Oz and haven't sorted out health cover yet. My youngest child who is 6 has started saying the words on the whiteboard at school are fuzzy. If I take him to an opticians will medicare cover the eyesight test and glasses? Not sure what I would have to foot costs wise. We have resident status. Cheers Sally

Hi we are recently arrived from the Uk. We are here as permanent residents and need advice on medical care. Our children were all told in the Uk that they would need braces in a year or two. We want to sign up to medical cover which includes dental cover which will eventually fund children's braces in 24 months or so. Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers Sulac
