Hi ehtesham, I would suggest that you go through the Skilled occupation list and find your occupation. You mentioned that you are into banking, I'm afraid its not on the SOL. Computer network and systems engineer is on the SOL and is assessed by ACS. Read about it and the preliminary requirements. I know someone who had degrees in management but his entire work experience was in IT. Despite his educational background in business, ACS assessed him equivalent to a systems Analyst after he provided his RPL report.

Hi NeeID, I have applied under family sponsored 489.
-
Hi, I read on DIBP website that we have to submit sponsor declaration form but there was no option to upload it on the immiAccount when I submitted the application. So willthe CO ask for the necessary documentation?
-
Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me the approx time it takes to get case officer assigned, I have submitted my application under 489 family stream. Thanks, arq

Hi Samir, Third world has nothing to do with you not getting payslips. Maybe it's the organizational setup for which you work. Payslips are a standard procedure plus you have mentioned that you signed the receipts? Those receipts can be used as a proof....

Thanks Maggie

Hi All, Can anyone pls tell me the list of documents required for making the 489 family sponsored visa application? Thanks, arq
-
So there are two applicants: Applicant X: Age=25, Points=30 Education=Bachelors, Points=15 Work exp=1 yr, Points=0 IELTs=8,8,8,8, Points=20 Total=65 Applicant Y: Age=25, Points=30 Education=Bachelors, Points=15 Work exp=3 yrs, Points=5 IELTS=8,8,8,7.5, Points=10 Total=60 So Applicant X makes it through and Y does not. I dont see any "viable" or "desirable" selections being made. PS. I am not only concerned about "family sponsored" visa's but in general as well. Why to have provisions for family members, have them go through the entire process of assessments and IELTs only to tell them in the end that we are only giving out 15 invitations per round, that too in only certain occupations where the applications for independent 189 are the least??
-
Be thankful to Australia for claiming points and do what? With only 15 invitations being given in each round and no invitations being given out for 489 applicants in more than 6 occupations!!!
-
So DIBP increases subclass 189 allocations from 1250 to 2000 places but family sponsored 489 remains at 15 places only!!! What is DIBP upto? 489 applicants are also skilled professionals, have passed the necessary assessment and English language requirements then why on earth are they being discouraged!!!! This entire process is indeed biased as it is clearly preferring candidates who can score an 8 in each of the IELTs test over professionals with more than 5 years of relevant experience. Similarly 15 places for family skilled 489 visa over 2000 places for skilled independent 189 highlights DIBP's hypocrisy in curbing family based preferences. If skilled relatives of Australian citizens or PR holders are such an economic and financial burden on the country, why does not DIBP close down this visa!!!

Congrats Saini Best of luck!!!

Any luck in the 28th April round?
-
Maybe that's because of your occupation. There might be a queue in which the highest scoring candidates were given invites.
-
Hi, The 14th April results have been uploaded on DIBP website. The cutoff date is 27/12/2013 with point score 60 for 2633*. Are you occupation 263311 or 263312? May be they are giving out invitations to one specific ocupation, just a wild guess. Have you discussed this with your agent?
-
For 10th March round, the cut off date was 23rd Jan and hence you should not have received an invite. However, what's surprising is that you did not get an invite in the 24th March round.....I guess you need to check it with someone, perhaps a migration agent or call the immi office directly to get a clear picture.
-
Well, that's because applciations are in queue, for instance a total of 99 invitations have been given out for 2633. This means that first all applicants with 65 pts or higher have been catered and then invitations are given out to those with lower scores which is clearly reflected in the 24th March report.
-
It's not about "better luck next time", it's about the clear mechanism on the basis of which invitations are given out. In your case, you have 65 pts, hence you have a high priority over someone with 60 pts, irrespective of the date at which he submitted his EOI. It's a bit confusing, if invitations are not being given out on the basis of highest scoring applicants, then what is the criteria?
-
Saini, I think you should call DIBP to discuss this with them since the cut-off date for telecom engg is 30/10/2013 with 60 points, and you have 65 points. Applicants with higher points have precedence over those with less points!
-
Hi Saini, The monthly report has been published on the skillselect website and the cutoff date for subclass 2633 is 30/10/2013 with 60 points. I was wondering, how is it possible that you did not get an invite? Did you apply through an agent or on your own?
-
Lets wait for the report, this will give a clear picture......
