  1. For now, I am not going to do anything about it, however, I have sent an email to immi support for the same concern, just to have a written confirmation. Fingers crossed. Also, Do you guys know, how much time does it take for the case officer allocation ? And, Can you organize your medicals before the assignment of the case officer, the link is there on the page but I am not sure, whether to wait for the person to tell me or just go for it beforehand.
  2. [h=1]Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) document checklist[/h]Page Content You must provide documents to support your application for this visa. We can make a decision using the information you provide when you lodge your application. It is in your interest to provide as much information as possible with your application. All supporting documents must be scanned and uploaded with your application. All documents that you provide must be certified copies of original documents. Do not include original documents unless specifically requested to do so by the department. Documents not in English must be accompanied by accredited English translations.
  3. It's not even a scanned copy, it is the score report that I downloaded from the PTE website. ? in front of all the documents attachment says that it should be certified. I am a little confused and paranoid.
  4. Hello People, I lodged my application about two weeks ago, today, I decided to upload my documents. I had gotten most of the documents certified by the relative authority with the exception of Skills assessment and PTE Score Report, as I was told that it is not needed. So, today, after uploading the police clearance, I uploaded the PTE test score and later I happened to click on the ? in front of it, which says you may include the certified copy of IELTS, OET and PTE score report. Now, I am baffled and panicked, I have uploaded the right document, however, it is not certified. Should I upload it again after getting it certified or should I leave it as it is. Am I screwed ?? Can my application get rejected because of this ? Thank god, I didn't upload my Skills assessment and the PTE of my wife, as they are not certified as well. Thanks, Lovej
  5. I got the following response from skillselect Dear Lovej, Thank you for your enquiry. You are able to submit a second EOI, please remove your first EOI from SkillSelect on expiry of your invitation. So, I think I am good to go!!
  6. Hello folks, Last week, I lodged an EOI with the incorrect information and I was not sure about what to do next, whether to wait for it to lapse and then lodge a new one or go for a new one right away with a new account. So, I asked multiple people, agents and blogs...all had a mixed opinion apparently, So, yesterday I called at DIAC's switchboard, where I was told that I can go ahead and try to lodge a new one but the chances are that system won't accept it but if it does then I can go ahead with it. I asked them if it is legal and she said yes. So, I tried it and it worked, I created a new account and submitted a new EOI with corrected information, however, now I am baffled about if I did the right thing. Any comments ??
  7. Hello, Recently, I lodged my EOI which had an error, so, I was told to let it expire. When I called SA Immigration office, I asked them whether to wait for this one to expire or if I could lodge an another one on the side..... They didn't have an answer, the person I spoke to discussed it with a couple of colleagues but they had a varied opinion and I was told to wait until they hear from their superiors for the same. I have been waiting since then, its been like a week already. Would you guys think ??? If a person makes a mistake in the EOI, do they have to wait to let it expire and then edit and re-lodge or should I not wait and lodge a new one on the side ?? Thanks
  8. Hmm...So, can I lodge an another EOI right away or would I have to wait for this one to expire first ?
  9. I got (L 87, R 84, W 76, S 90) in PTE, just missed by 3 marks in writing would have scored 20 points, otherwise. Nevertheless, I do have 60 points without experience. So,I am going to lodge a new EOI application, though, may concern is if I would have to wait for this one to expire to lodge an another application ? Also, Do you think this would have any negative impact on the new EOI application ? cheers, Lovej
  10. You are right, thanks a lot for the help. I will try to look for an option to make this one retire.
  11. The total experience till date is 4 years and 6 Months and I didn't enter the end date as it is ongoing. I have filled the technical help form at the immi.gov.au website for the same issue and let's see what they have to say. Moreover, I am going to call tomorrow at the Australian Immigration Office switchboard. I didn't fill anything wrong, don't know why this is causing such problems. Also, If I lodge a new EOI application and let this one lapse, Do I have to wait for this one to lapse ? In addition, Would the cancellation of EOI have any negative consequences ?

  14. Yes, I am going to post it...what if I have been awarded correct points, how can that be verified ?
  15. Now, I have the filled EOI application opened in front of me. Date from (dd/mm/yyyy) 28/06/2010 Date to (dd/mm/yyyy) 11/10/2012 Date from (dd/mm/yyyy) 22/10/2012 I didn't fill the end date as I am still working in this company
  16. Okay, lets do it on this one then!. Thanks!!!!
  17. But I didn't fill anything wrong, everything I filled in was correct and I have cross checked it like 10 times already.
  18. Hey Guys, While, I was filling my EOI application yesterday, I was asked to fill my employment history with name and dates of the employment etc. I started working from June 2010 and still working. I got my ACS skills assessment done on 2nd of Feb 2014. This is exactly what I filled in the Application but somehow they awarded me 5 points for the experience and I got my invitation today for the same. I was under the impression that first 2 years won't be counted. If we calculate I have a total of 4 years and 7 months of EXP. What should I do ????
  19. I got invited, now I have no idea on what to do. I checked my EOI application briefly, I was asked to tell my employment history and that is exactly what I did. I was not asked anything else other than that. A friend of mine, got his PR two weeks back, I checked with him he has a total of 3.5 years of experience and he did the same thing, whereas, he was awarded 60 points. I don't know what to do.
  20. You are right, but, don't they deduct 2 years out of the total experience for IT occupations, at least, that is what I was told of by Australian Computer Society but they also say at the end it is the final decision of Australian Immigration Department to award points.
  21. Okay, cool thanks! I still wonder though, how did I get 5 points for experience as I started working in June 2010 so technically I don't have 5 years in total.
  22. Thanks for the prompt reply. 1. I wanted to include my wife in my application, but wasn't sure how to do that, yesterday when filled the EOI application, the section where they ask you "Do you wish to include any family members" i Said yes and selected "1". The following questions asks " Would your partner be accompanying you in the future application" I said yes. Was it the correct way to do it ?? 2 . Okay, to prove I will just have to attach the latest pay slips ? or would I have to get the refreshed experience letter although, nothing has changed. Thanks a lot!!
  23. Hey Guys, Finally, I lodged EOI application for myself and my wife. I have a few concerns though, hopefully you guys can help. 1. I mentioned 1 where they ask, if you wish to include your family member and then selected yes where they ask you, would your partner be accompanying you in your future application. 2. My skills assessment was done on 6th Feb 2014 and by then my total exp. was rounding up to 4 years and 3 months but yesterday when I filled the experience section, it awarded me 5 points for it, I know that now my total work-ex goes above 5 years but the exp after the assessment is not assessed, although, it is at the same company. Thanks again, Lovej
  24. 1. There is no need to mention your secondary education. 2. Include both your diploma and your bachelor's degree. Cheers
  25. Hey Folks, I was lodging the EOI application for my wife and I with me being the primary applicant. I have a few doubts. 1. When they ask you do you want to include any family members and then the following line says, do wish to include your partner into the future application ? As per my understanding, I am suppose to say 0 in the family member section, however, select yes where they ask you about your partner (Considering I want to lodge it just for my wife and me) 2. I got my skills assessment done about year ago, Feb 13th 2013 to be exact, as per which I had a total of 4 years and some months of experience, whereas, when I was filling my EOI application, in the experience section, upon filling up the details, I was awarded 5 points. Although, I did mention the date of ACS 3. EOI doesn't ask for your partner's details, i.e. Name, Passport number etc. (I am not claiming partner points) Thanks in advance!! Cheers, Lovej
