  1. To Pbeeby, deeacz and sunshinebee, Before we applied australia, we have applied for visa of New zealand (1 year ago, and still waiting for CO decision). during the waiting game with new zealand, I found 222311 is a nominated occupation in NSW, then I started to take the skill assessment by VETASSESS, and it went smooth. on 1st July, I was pretty happy to find that NSW will continue to nominate 222311 applicants. Then I make my documents certified by Consular of Australia embassy in my country, translated my working documents by NAATI, and prepared my documents in well-organized order according to the BOOKLET6. for partner relationship documents, we attached a summary, classifying different documents based on their purposes. Before we uploaded the files, we reviewed the documents from the CO's perspective, and questioned ourselves whether there was anything unqualified. After at least twice review like this, we finally uploaded our documents one by one. I am sure every CO would like to make an application finalized if they are confident with the documents and they have working flow target, i guess. Another point, i would like to mention, is after we got a CO, we wrote an email to the team emial box, expressing our appreciation of their assessment, and make general introduction of our application. We didn't push them to tell us CO's name or telephone number. I think the different COs, different styles apply. however, the common sense is they generally respect applicants as a reward if we behave politely. They dont wanna risk themselves to approve or delay any application intensionally. the much better we prepared, the much faster we get the grant. So take a look of our application from the CO's perspective, and question ourselves before we send emails. that's my own opinion. take it if you like it, or let it go if you dont like it. All the best to everyone, Cheers. GJMFL
  2. Dear all, I am honored to announce that I have been granted the 190 visa today (as of 31st October 2013). It is a journey with both challenges and rewards. We are grateful for the grant from our CO (who is on behalf of Australia), the applicants along with us on the way and our friends. A new start of life. And we are planning to be on board in Jan., 2014. Cheers. Best wishes. Yours sincerely, GJMFL

  16. Hi Samulv, I think I can understand what you have experienced with DIAC, seemingly endless and non-responsive waiting game is stressful indeed. We have uploaded 12 documents for de facto partner relationship and 6 documents for employment evidence besides the skill assement result and point test letter. but we are still not sure if the CO will conduct external/3rd party investigation, and we are concerning if they randomly called my HR to check my background, then my migration information goes public in my company without a firm grant result. you know what? my employer will downgrade my title or even fire me. as flatpack said, we put all our futures into their hand, and without any insurance of uncertainties. by the way, I paid tons of money to get NAATI traslation for documents in non-english languages, though i think i can do better translation job but i am not an qualified NAATI translator. we have no choice, but fingers crossed for the final decision from DIAC.
  17. Hi Flatpack, Congratulations!!! wish you a safe and pleasant landing in Australia. by the way, did you experienced any background check by phone from DIAC if you are offshore applicant, please?
  18. hi SunshineBee, as indicated by DIAC, they allocate CO for 190 every 5 weeks. you may have got your CO, and you will not be contacted until something is required, like Form 80. good luck.
  19. Hi everyone, i am stuck by the FBI criminal history/background check. they say they dont process any application after 12th Oct. what can i do?
  20. Hi Maruska, do you have anything to share please?
  21. Question 1) you can type in the Adobe Acrobat, and print them, then sign at the required box with your name and your wife's name; Question 2) if you havent ever been to australia, or you dont have a plan on your hand, you can leave it blank. that is my thought. good luck.
