does anyone know how much child support my x husband would have to pay if I move to Australia with our son and he stays in the uk?

if I don't tick the non resident box that is a lot better, another $150 dollars a week, I really want to make this move for my son as we struggle here and the opportunity for a better life is there, but have to work out costs etc

I have just done the tax calculator, do we get charged double tax as a non resident or on a 457 visa? I know it was a lot when I worked there before

good morning I am hoping to get a 457 visa, I believe the minimum they have to pay is $51000,i will either be living in terrigal or Brisbane, will this be enough for myself and my son to live on? im not sure of how much it costs to live with all bills, insurances and childcare etc or how much I would be taxed on this amount any help would be great

thank you Millie! I am glad you sound to be doing well..it has always been my dream but equally I don't want to screw up my sons life by my selfish decision..i believe he will be happier there and enjoy the lifestyle but feel very nervous about it x

thank you for replying if he doesn't agree as he always wants things his own way and is very difficult, is it a long process to fight he hasn't been there hardly for my son in these 5 years, probably for around max 4 months so surely as the main carer I can do it?

Good morning I am hoping to emigrate to oz early next year but would like some advice.. long and short story, my x husband is in the forces, hence the reason we got divorced 2 years ago as he was away so much and unfortunately didn't integrate back into family life well, I gave up my career to have our son but upon splitting up, had to start work again. I have had a very low paid job but did what I needed to to support our son. I have main custody as he is never here very much. I have just been made redundant and offered a job in Sydney, can he stop me? I did ask him to come with us, so it is his choice to or not as the case may be. I want a better life for my son as I lived in oz before meeting my husband also does he have to pay csa if he still lives in the uk and im not any help would be greatly appreciated
