does anyone know how much child support my x husband would have to pay if I move to Australia with our son and he stays in the uk?

if I don't tick the non resident box that is a lot better, another $150 dollars a week, I really want to make this move for my son as we struggle here and the opportunity for a better life is there, but have to work out costs etc

I have just done the tax calculator, do we get charged double tax as a non resident or on a 457 visa? I know it was a lot when I worked there before

good morning I am hoping to get a 457 visa, I believe the minimum they have to pay is $51000,i will either be living in terrigal or Brisbane, will this be enough for myself and my son to live on? im not sure of how much it costs to live with all bills, insurances and childcare etc or how much I would be taxed on this amount any help would be great

thank you Rosie, so is it free is Brisbane for schools? I need to work out how much it costs to run a house roughly over there with insurance and food etc then see if it is feasable

thank you Millie! I am glad you sound to be doing well..it has always been my dream but equally I don't want to screw up my sons life by my selfish decision..i believe he will be happier there and enjoy the lifestyle but feel very nervous about it x
