Hi im applying for skilled visa but low on points if i do IELTS exam i get 10 points as long as i get 8 on all sections,that leaves me 10 points to get im told if i apply to queensland government for nomination and they except me i can get another 10 points is this true,thankyou

Hi,yes i tried for skilled visa but low on points so doing IELTS to hopefully gain full 20 points,then ive been told u can gain another 10 by being invited by the queensland government,im going to try for skilled visa as i would of got lot of interviews and most certainly a job with that,how did u find the IELTS exam,i do aged care,palliative residential,community,rehab,how about you and where r going to be living in oz alot more sponsorships in brisbane,sydney and perth etc,have u considered the mines.lisa

Hi Im living on gold coast cant seem to find a sponsorship apparently big crack down here to use aussie nurses first,so im thinking of maybe commuting to Brisbane I am prepared to do that but wondering if easier to get sponsorship there,and maybe do 3 long days so i fullfil criteria for full time hours,any jobs out there that will let me do that.thanks lisa Specialise in aged care/rehab/residential and wards.

hi dave im on the Gold coast i would like to stay here,im on an eta visa and have to keep getting out of oz every 3 months on visa run but dont mind that cos wanted travel however runs out in october,i didnt come over here with intention to nurse but met australian guy living with him its too early to go down de facto route,visa runs out this october but hope i can get extension till i get a job as want to tour all of australia,any ideas,thanks for replying.lisa Sorry been registered nurse five years last worked 7 months ago as been traveling,registered nurse and yes i am APHRA registered,miss out on points visa by five points x

Hi all,Im a 42 year old nurse from UK living in Queensland.I would love some advice. I would like to know about getting a sponsorship Ive tried most avenues and agencies advertise they do sponsorship when i contact them they say no.Has anyone got a sponsorship from the uk first if so could they give me the agency contact numbers.I have aged care,community,residential,ward and rehab experience.I miss sout on a skills visa by 5 points.Thankyou
