  1. Hi all I'm returning to the UK, hopefully by xmas 2014. I've been in Oz 17 years & I have citizenship & dual passports. Would there be any problems in returning at some point in the future.....or can I come & go as I please? I didn't think I would have to worry about it, but thought I would check on here first. Not that I intend to come back except to visit friends.....but the future is not ours to see! Thanks for any feedback.
  2. Thanks for that Bob! One hurdle over!
  3. I too, am thinking of returning to the uk, which I still regard as home! I've been here 17 years & on the whole it's been great, have made some good friends, but now I'm on my own the pull of family is so strong. I've thought about it for a long time, I too may change my mind when I go for a holiday ( tomorrow!) I'm hoping my mind will be made up, as I don't want to be old here with no family! I've had enough sunshine to last a lifetime & Christmas here is not the same.....probably 'cos I'm not with family............I know I will miss my life here, but I don't feel this is for me anymore.
  4. I think it's natural to have doubts when you 1st arrive, it is a huge upheaval! my ex partner had the same issues with qualifications & decided to get out & do something different. It's hard when you're already qualified, especially when the u.k's is superior to oz! They should bring in a refresher course of a couple of weeks, to get you familiar with the differences? over here, not the bs of retaking everything! You do need more time here to settle, so do take a breath & enjoy if you can, because you don't want to be a ping pong pom!
  5. Hi, does anyone know if there is a age limit on dogs going to the U.K ?
