I've been offered a position with a company in Melbourne and I'm wondering if people think that the offer is decent? I've been offered $140k + super, so a $154k package after super rises in July. The company will pay visa costs for my girlfriend and I but not any relocation costs. To give a bit of background, in the UK I earn £67k a year basic with car allowance, bonus, private healthcare. All in I'm earning about £76k a year. As a 29 year-old with no kids, living in Glasgow, I have a pretty good life on that kind of money!! I go out for dinner at least once a week, spend £5-6k on my annual holiday, go weekends away several times a year, personal trainer twice a week... If I move to Melbourne on that kind of money will I need to take a massive drop in lifestyle or do you think I could live a similar lifestyle as in the UK? My girlfriend will also be earning about $50k once she finds a job! Thanks!
