  1. Hi guys im just after some help, my 9 year old daughter played rugby league back in the UK, she is desperate to get back to playing, just wondered of any of you knew of any teams that are after players, we live in port kennedy and I don't mind travelling 20 mins so she can play for a decent team. Thanks for any help or info.
  2. more than once lol but not nearly as bad as deception bay over in qld now that was bad lol
  3. Ha ha paul beats going to blackpool or Cleethorpes for the day and been hemmed in with people blowing there fortnightly giro on cans of special brew pmsl
  4. you guys make me chuckle, I have lived just north or Brisbane and recently moved near rockingham, and to be honest there isn't a great deal of difference between the two, things that I have noticed is that food shopping is slightly cheaper on the east coast, same style little Britain housing estates, hoons, I love where I live the people over here are a lot friendlier and always like to chat to you. when we lived in the uk we where always trying to think what to do next to keep the kids entertained that didn't cost a fortune, over here there are allsorts that are free, you just have to get up and look for it. as for the crime and drug problem think uk is a lot worse than here, the amount of people in my old local town that looked very shifty and unnerved me, didn't like what the uk was turning in to, and I must say that while I have been in this country I have never once felt unsafe for me or my children to the point that my kids now have a bit more freedom over here. House partys and loud music happen in every walk of life and you will always get some people who don't have no respect for others, I myself do not party or play music until the early hours but I have 5 young and very noisy children lol, but find myself always saying if I don't want to listen to that noise im quiet sure nobody else does. I love perth and all that it has to offer and so what if you might have to travel around to find stuff to do, you didn't come over to this beautiful country to bitch and moan so get off your ass and get loving perth. rant over x
  5. We had the same problems, our 3 eldest had there pr, and we had another 2 when we moved back to England, we spoke to our immigration advisor, who is awesome, we got them through customs on a tourist, and remember stood there thinking they would turn us back at any point, but they didn't lol, the process time over here is quicker than they quote which is a bonus, good luck with your move guys x
  6. Hi guys, we have just moved to port kennedy, love the place so we just need to find my hubby a job asap before I murder him lol, he is a fully qualified carpenter/joiner with over 20 years experience, back in the UK he worked on new builds doing roof trusses, first and second fixes, and final fixes, he has obtained his white card and has a full driving licence and transport. we would greatfully apprieciate any help we could get because I don't think I could put up with him at home any longer xxx :arghh::arghh:
  7. I lived in Brisbane a few years ago and I am now living in perth and I have found perth cheaper for food, I used to spend $350 pw for 5 of us and now I am spending approx. $400 pw for 7 of us, go figure.
  8. i have used crown relocations and pickfords both provided a great service x
  9. Just wondered what the work situation was like in Perth, my husband in a new build carpenter in the UK, and we are hoping to be in Perth in the next 8 weeks, which are the best areas to move to for my husband, any help would be much appreciated.
