  1. Ok. Cheers for that! Last thing (and i know Im going to sound like i want to be spoon fed) but in the envelope, should i just put both the translated papers. And address on top. Where do i put my name, DOB and reference number? Print a seperate paper for it or put that on top of the envelope too?
  2. Hey FirstKnight, i got the ID card translated in english. The problem (i think anyway) is that it says on bottom of first page that signature of card holder and signature of registrar general. So for card holder, i sign but for the registrar general, how do you get that signed? Or do you even need to have that signed?
  3. Fair enough. I've read the checklist several times and the only thing that's compulsory is the birth certificate along with ONE of the identification documents such as NIC/Passport. My case, photocopy of passport was given. I could be wrong but no where does it say NIC MUST be provided.
  4. Attesting is fine since I've had all other documents done. Can anyone do the translation or certain places? Can you please guide me to the right direction First Knight.
  5. Between the ACK and Medicals, did you ever contact AHS or your CO in regards to your application? Or did you simply just wait for medicals to come in? Congrats btw, Good luck!
  6. Sorry i didn't make myself clear. I meant, does my wife need to give in her pakistan ID card (shanakhti card) with application? Because she did not give it in since we were under the impression that since there's a copy of her Passport, the card won't be needed. So basically I'm asking is it mandatory to give in shanakhti card? If so, it must be translated in English and then given? Thanks in advance!
  7. Wondering for female applicants, is NICOP/POC required? If so, is an english transalation required too? I have no idea where to get it translated if its required.
  8. Thanks for that. I guess I'll wait and try emailing again in a few weeks time. You email AHS right? And they will forward it to the CO correct? And I'm assuming its the same thing when trying to contact your CO, you just call AHS and they'll forward the call to CO, yea?
  9. Rackspace can i ask you if you emailed/called your case officer regularly after submitting your application? It's been two months since my wife submitted her application, I have not heard a thing nor have i contacted AHS or CO.
  10. Thank you so much for that BZness, really glad to hear you got your visa. Just been over a month since my Wife applied for her visa, but im thinking about giving AHC a call and finding out what's the status or any progression on the Medicals.
  11. My sister-in-law had her medicals sent in maybe 2 months after acknowledge and she still had to wait 9 months for visa. I'm pretty sure there's a certain period of time you must wait, does not make a difference if you get medicals in early. I could be wrong but by the looks of it, seems this way. That being said, I'm still really hoping medicals come in asap for my wife even though its only been a month =p
  12. Fine if i speak to her after a month from acknowledgement? just going ask about the status and also about the whole visit visa thingo.
  13. I'll discuss it with my CO. Still not really sure how to contact my CO as i only know her name, nothing else. That was an email from AHC. Don't think i can contact her through that eh? And which phone number? The AHC number written on the acknowledgement letter?
  14. Sweet as. Btw what happens if she doesn't receive her medicals by then and when she gets here in aus on visit, she gets them? Basically should wait for medicals before sponsoring on visit yea?
  15. oh wow.. nice I'm planning on sponsoring my wife for a visit visa. When's a good time to apply so that she can fly out end of August?
  16. Visit visa takes around 2 months. So probably by end of this month you'll have it but then again, you've given in Medicals already so you'll probably get partner visa in a month or two imo anyway. But yeah, no doubt id do the same thing if i was in your position as there's no exact way of knowing how long more you might have to wait.
  17. Will purchase a return ticket as I'm sure from pakistan they won't allow one way ticket for a visit visa since they do question the type of visit or reason person is leaving country. Thanks ABG! will do. Cheers
  18. So basically if shes in Aus and she gets her visa, then she must go back to pakistan and then come back to aus for her entry? Didn't really get your last sentence. Thanks for that though, ABG.
  19. I applied mid March for partner Visa (309). To my understanding, its roughly taking 8 months these days for female applicants. Is it ok (i mean alright idea) for me to bring my wife on a visit visa to Australi say beginning of September. By this way, even if she is given the visa until end of November (will be more than 8 months by then), she won't have to go back to Pakistan (visit visa is only for 3 months). We can just leave Australia and re-enter for her entry. Someone please be kind to offer me some advise on this matter or anything that i may be missing.
  20. If you're a male applicant, I'd say you're not likely to get your visa before waiting for 12 months. ABG meant for female applicants, the process is about a few months once medicals have been sent in.
  21. Does it help to actually call up your CO every 3 weeks or so to find out what's happening? Especially before your medicals are sent to you?
  22. lol. What a crap example. It only takes a few to ruin it for the rest. And to fix it? Aint going to be no fix, they've put the waiting time in place to stop those few who do it.
