  1. Laura you mentioned city and guilds but in order to be classed as a engineer and pass a skills assessment you need a degree which I presume you have.. I'm sure someone who has the knowledge to help you will be along shortly.. don't submit an EOI whatever you do

  2. for me i needed the peace of mind of an agent. the amount of times i just wanted to know something about the process or about a question asked on form 80 that was difficult to interpret i could get an answer. it does come at a cost but i saw it as an insurance. no brainer for me personally but if you think you can get through the paperwork alone then happy days

generally people with medical conditions will refer to a MA

So if the visa process is "in progess" rather than received does this make a difference? do we still need to withdraw and refund, and can we re-apply if we are currently on a bridging visa? And will the company have to make another nomination?

I can't believe they can just implement changes without any thought, I have been going back and forth with my CO for nearly a year regarding my application and suddenly I now have to withdraw my visa?

there has been much thought for many years and was only a matter of time.. if i were you id start looking at other options if needed

  4. NZ will be able to see if you have overstayed on previous visas. and it also asks you on the visa application if you have overstayed on previous visas so unless you lie id expect a rejection from NZ.

a quick check on VEVO would have saved all this heartache

  5. also a sparky i used the down under centre and was really impressed with the service. i could call and get updates on my application whereas i think vetasses is just too big to do that. well worth the money. just be aware its not a quick process

  6. i needed 20 points. i took IELTS twice and couldnt quite hit superior. I took PTE and managed to get the 20 points i needed, i didnt like the school like examination the IELTS has and felt very much under pressure and its a really long day. the PTE can be tricky when the speaking test begins due to everyone around you talking so can be tricky to block it out but the trick is to start asap. i preferred being able to write my document on the computer rather than by hand as i could visually spell check it and scan over it and change it quicker than written. for me PTE was the way forward for those reasons and i felt like i was not under as much pressure which helped me for sure
