  1. Yes ofcourse... Statement of service is what I meant

I don't have copy, but it literally only needs to state,

    What your job title is,

    How many hours you work,

How long you have worked there,

Signed and dated by your manager, you must send the original letter to AHPRA.

  2. Hi, I am a Swedish registered nurse who will move to Sydney in August. I am right now getting all the papers ready for registration to AHPRA and I would be really happy to get someone's professional references to look at since my employer wants me to write the references and he will then sign it for me.

Thankful for all your help to my email malo.kilander@gmail.com

Do you mean statement of service? You don't need references for AHPRA,

  3. Hi everyone! I'm having a hard time figuring out what to jot down on my CV following the APHRA template. I will be very glad if someone can send me a sample cv thru PM

Thank you so much and more power!

    I will forward u mine,

  4. Does anyone have a copy of the format they have set there cv as? I'm concerned ahpra are being awkward and want to get everything right. Has anyone been told their cv wasn't detailed enough or was done in the wrong format?

Hi, have h looked at the template on the AHPRA website? I followed that and mine was accepted ok.

  5. Hi

I'm a newly qualified UK nurse with UK registration, and I'm about to start my AHPRA registration, as I know it takes ages, I'm from the UK and can't understand the English language part of the registration process, do I as a UK qualified nurse with a degree and a UK secondary education which was obviously in English need to sit a language test? Oh and I also have an Australian Cert IV in massage Therapy gained in 2008.

    Any help appreciated

You need proof you attended secondary school full time, with dates stated and that u were taught and assessed in English, ask your old school if they will do you a letter, this is enough for AHPRA, good luck

  6. Hi pacticenurse,

I sent my application to Adelaide as we are moving there in August seems to take ages for AHPRA. What about you?

Hi, mine took approx 9wks. I sent mine to Perth, although I'm not moving there, (you can it to any office). I sent it to Perth because I had heard good reports about the office, but it think it just depends on your case officer at the end of the day..

  7. Yes I sent my application to Adelaide 6 months ago as I've read on here they have faster processing time. However my case worker has demanded one thing after the other and when I send emails to get an update on my application I don't get a reply back unless I ring AHPRA to make a request for him to contact me. The service is awful! I am so envious of those who have had theirs processed in 9-12 weeks!

Oh that's bad!!!! I would be loosing my marbles by now!! I would just kept bombarding them with emails! Ask your case worker for his superiors email! I bet that puts a firework up his backside!

  8. Has anyone on here had any problems with their case worker not replying to emails as I have emailed mine 3 times and no reply over the space of a month.

    Thank you

    Erica

Is this for AHPRA? I did find the first person dealing with my application very slow in replying, she would only reply on a Monday, so I would have to wait another week for another answer! However, she went on holiday and I was passed to someone else, luckily for me she was very quick and replied fast. Which office did u send it to?

  9. Hello all... I have a question about sending forms off to adelaide office for registration. I used Airsure so as I could track my envelope and it says on the post office website that my package has arrived in MELBOURNE and is awaiting delivery I am certain that it has the correct address on it but wondered if anyone has experienced a similar thing?

    Shaun

Yeah.. It will say on he tracking invoice when it has Been delivered to location and signed for.

  10. Could your parents not post out the original for you? Send it by courier so you get it within 4-5 days? I sent everything to AHPRA at the start of April , they emailed me 2 wks later saying that the letter I had sent from my secondary school did not have enough evidence that I was taught in English, so I managed to get the school to write another one! I'm waiting to hear from them again if its been accepted, it's a long waiting game!! Good luck!!

  11. Mr.Ali,

We are going to Australia on a PR visa, my question is about my wife she is a nurse and she wanted to work as well. What are the procedures in applying and registering we will be located in Wodonga.

She needs to apply for registration, you can download application form online at AHPRA , when do you go?

  12. Hi,

Thank you so much for all the information, that is all really helpful! I realise that you have only just sent your bits off so thank you for sharing the info that you have. I bet it was a real relief to get it all sent away :) I have just one more question...sorry! How far back did your CPD stuff go back? Did you send one year worth or did you go back further?

    Katie

Your welcome, it is a relief that its been sent... ive been on with it for alomost 8wks, trying to arrange an appintment with notary when im off work was the difficult bit.. I sent certs off from 2011 to now for CPD ,

good luck, what nursing do you do?

  13. I will get back to you today when I have taken a look at my form and what I ave put for the questions you are having trouble with...

Question 11... I only filled in my degree and diploma studies.

question 12 ... What nurse are you ? Children's , mental health, adult?

Question 26... I put my degree, and attached my Uni transcript, I also added my secondary school info with a letter from school confirming that I attended full time for 5 years.

Question 28 ... I added the letter from school as above, send original , not photocopy... I attached certified copies of my CPD certs and degree cert with my CV... Check you follow the template for the cv, you can find it on the AHPRA website..

Payment... Pay assessment and application fee.. The total is $540.00 aus dollars.

I sent mine off today by DHL courier to Perth office... So please don't take everything I've said to be completely true as I obviously don't know if I've done everything right until I get confirmation from the AHPRA office...

But I do hope this helps you... Good luck!!

  14. Hi all,

Just thought would share our positive experience of AHPRA Perth Office, documents and application form received by them on 01/03/2013 letter of eligibility to register as registered nurse received 25/03/2013!

    Great news!! Congrats!!

    What nursing do you do?

  15. Hello everyone!

I am trying to fill out the APHRA application form as we speak and unsurprisingly, I have a few questions of anyone can help please?!

Question 11 - regarding qualifications...do I need to fill out all A-levels and GCSE's etc as well as my nursing degree?

Question 12 - what will my category of registration be? I am on the NMC register but I do not know what to fill in here.

Question 26 - Do I fill in here my degree and my a-levels/GCSE's too? The wording seems really confusing and I don not want to do it wrong! It states in the grey box that I need the transcripts for these...I know that I definitely need the transcript of my nursing course but do I really need the same for GSCE's and A-levels?

Question 28...I just don't understand! Does this relate to me getting a letter from my secondary school to say I have been taught in english or is the CPD section where I send them all the bits I have done through the past year to keep current?

Payment...do I pay both the assessment fee and the application fee or just the assessment fee initially?

I apologise for all of the questions...it all seems very confusing! I would appreciate any help that people can offer.
