Hi Claire,

Thanks for your message! I can imagine it must be very difficult and a real roller coaster of emotions, but glad to hear you feel you have made a new home for yourself! I dont have a big family, but have a lot of close friends, but I am close to them all! I know it will be the most difficult thing I have ever done when I get the chance to move over to Oz, but I guess I have to follow my dreams and do what I feel is best for me! It's good to hear that everyone is friendly and that you are being invited out a lot socially - it must make everything so much easier!

Your message was a big help, so thanks for taking the time to get in touch!

Wishing you all the best!

 4. Hello Nottingham67 (I'm from Derby myself), I moved to Melbourne 3 weeks ago on my own, I had a business, a house, an amazing network of friends and family and I sold the lot!!! I didn't have a job a place to live, nothing, I am know working in the city, living with some strange but wonderful people and making lots of new friends. Don't get me wrong I was having panic attacks before coming out here and had all the fears it sounds like you are but the worst comes to the worst you can always go back home but you wont always have the opportunity to do this. In other words try it, I know it's easy to say "oh you can go home if you don't like it" as everything has financial implications but trust me when I say the regret will be worse if you don't try it than if you try it and don't like it. My Dad (61) had an opportunity to move to New Zealand when he was 26ish and he turned it down which he has forever regretted despite doing extremely well in his own business and having an amazing family. I wish you all the best I really do and if you want to ask any questions or just want to vent my e-mail address is <snip>, I promise I will be nothing but honest with you, In the 3 weeks I've been here I have had my highs and I have had my lows. I'll hopefully speak with you soon (I hope your not a forest fan lol)
 5. Hi, I moved to Melbourne only 27 days ago on my own, I'm 29 and I have also had lows out here, I miss my family so much it actually hurts sometimes but then I have amazing days and I now how proud they are of me, I really think 20 days isn't long enough and you should keep going a little longer, it will get better and if in 3 months you still feel the same then go home but I gaurantee you won't. I have the most amazing family and friends back home, a business that I sold and a house that I owned and I have given it all up so if I can do it, you can. My parents said before i came here that you have to give it a minimum of 3 months anything sooner than that and you really didn't experience it. Go to the beach, watch the sun set and think about it, I have been writing a diary since being here and I find that helps.
 6.

Hi Claire thanks for getting back to me hun.

Hi,

Well I won't lie to you it has been an absolute Roller coaster of emotions lol but I really do feel like I have found a new home for myself. One of biggest fears was not knowing people as back home I had an amazing circle of friends and was very sociable but let me tell you the way of living here is so relaxed and everyone is so friendly, within a week I was staying at a new friends house in the country for a weekend, and this weekend I have been invited to 3 different birthday parties lol. I don't know what your family situation is but I am very close to my family back home so I miss them dearly but you manage to get through it, and when I speak to them and hear how proud they are helps lol. Coming here alone was the scariest but most rewarding thing I have ever done and I see my future here.

I hope that helps I've been as honest as I can be.
