Hi there do you mind me asking how you got your offer of employment and the process that took? I too am a HV in Scotland and moving to Brisbane march 2014 and would REALLY like to have offer of employment but not sure that will happen without them meeting you first? I am so nervous as don't think can get house without job and cant get job without house arghhh and im a single mum which does not help lol any advice much appreciated :-)

Hi name is Nick and I am registered nurse for 8 years with experience in surgical nursing, practice nursing and now community nurse working in health visiting and child protection for past 4 years. Am single mum and due to move to Brisbane in March 2014 and just wondering if anyone and how anyone secures a job before going? This is my IDEAL situation as I really don't want to go out there with no job but not sure how likely it is I will secure a job without them meeting me first? Can anyone help I am worrying myself sick over this :-( Have just recently applied to Queensland health and put CV on SEEK :-( Any advice would be much appreciated as it is well scary doing this by myself x

Not according to my grant letter it mentions nothing to do with PCC or medicals it states I must make entry to Australia before 3rd October 2014 (12 months from when visa was issued) and if I chose to not stay I have until 3rd Oct 2018 to move permanently or need to reapply :-)

It seems like us June applicants using Team 8 are being issued a grant per week by looks of things? Regarding entry dates........... on MY grant letter I have exactly 12 months for confirmation entry from date visa was issued (no mention whatsoever of PCC or medicals) :-) Then exactly 5 years to move permanently from date of issue :-)

Thanks to everyone for all their kind words its kinda sunk in now nearly 12 hours later and my initial sadness and tears has now turned into panic and total and utter excitement lol but I sincerely hope that this is a good sign for all the other June applicants as I know how utterly awful it is when reading someone lodging in Aug and Sept receiving grants all because they are with another team. I do appear to be a week ahead of rest of group so I am thinkin that next week is gonna be everyones week. Good luck everyone :-)

Thanks Shreya Im sure this must be the start for us June applicants as I think most are about a week after me! Very strange day I thought I would be so happy but its very mixed emotions cant stop crying lol kind of like where is it where is it where is it oh **** its here!!!!!! Im sure after it has actually sank in it will be all good!!!!! Fingers crossed for all other June-bobs as you really do deserve to get some news v.soon :-)

Congrats on grant and WOW what a timeline!!!!!! Can I ask your team? Some confusion I think I have a CO I was stating to someone else who said my case was different as I got a CO immediately but they misread my timeline I was saying I waited from time of submission 2 months for CO and got CO in August and everything done then but have been waiting on grant ever since..........:-)

Er no I don't understand why my I don't understand my case is different? But yes I was told I would be escalated but hey? 2 months for CO and still waiting? Im not worried Im just frustrated that I have heard nothing for months..........................but I hope you are correct in thinking I should be getting grant soon?

I really hope so Stefe I am going with an agent and sent them an email today to say in the most politest way.....If everything is in what the bloody hell is happening, agent stated she would email today and ask what the delay is I am sure it will probably be another week for reply so wont hold breathe you never know perhaps they will all be issued on same day? Ha Ha then again I may wake up!!!!!!

Well Wallis I am from a low risk country and my entire career has been as a nurse which entails me consistently having checks impossible to do my job otherwise so I would love to hear their excuse from me??????/

I have even had to resort to changing my smiley on my signature from bemused to down right bloody mad and frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when we are seeing people whom have lodged way after the June deadline but with other allocation teams being awarded grant............................not fair me thinks.........

Hey Debbio I am in Dundee. I am planning on moving out to QLD March 2014 with ma wee lad he will be 6 by then. You must be soooo excited and scared and nervous all in one right now ha ha :-) I hope everything goes great for you where are you heading to?

I don't think it is impatient considering we are now in our 16th week of waiting for any communication whatsoever.......I understand things take time and I indeed am not due to go out till March 2014 so I can wait it is more about the lack of communication and obviously a delay but why? There appears to be no explanation for this? It is indeed sad to hear of people going back home but I fully intend to put into our move everything I expect to get from it and if for some reason things do not work out then at least we will have tried and we can put it down to having an amazing adventure. I am a single parent and I realise I will indeed struggle but I believe that nothing good comes unless you put in some hard work which is what my intentions will be. I personally cannot wait to start our adventure :-)

Hey Shreya do you know the name of your CO? Mine is Helen Green :-( thers getting before us its so worrying but I see someone on here just got theirs and they applied 4 days before me so here is hoping :-)
