Yes because on the system it should show up that you are in mid process of a permanent visa. Should be fine, I just worry to much some times. How come you had to leave after the first time?

No, as of mid January I hit the 7 month mark, I fly out to Brisbane on the 5th feb, my case office said she'll know more by the end of the month ( January I hope) so I didn't reply back, don't think they like being bothered. Although a little nudge every few months I'm sure there to expect

Good stuff gannon, I am about 3 weeks behind you, my flights are booked for feb 8th 2014, so no major rush but willa still be great to have it granted. The 100 is permanent resident, think I've been considered for that
-
That's a bit **** james, you could still get over there if you were considered for the permanent visa?
-
if you sent more than they needed, they return them...they returned our photos but we sent family photos, some photos from trips etc. they also returned the police checks (the originals)...
They sent back what they didnt need or hav used/copied etc. don't worry to much, just give them any extra stuff they want and try not pestering your CO to much unless really needed, think I emailed mine maybe 3 times about what I thought was important stuff, then on last email I received I was told not to contact her again and wait for visa and not ask her if it's due, work to time frame of 8-9 months. Pretty blunt but to the point

Some deep discussions on here guys, just have a beer and try chill ;-)

Hi All,
Just wanted to post to say that my Partner visa 309/100 has just been granted, with a processing time of 6 months and 2 weeks!
I am a UK citizen, my girlfriend is Australian (together 6 years, no kids), and lodged the application in London on 11/02/2013.
Case officer was assigned the following day (VF). I supplied the police & health checks in April.
I was advised by the case officer that the processing time is currently 8-9 months, so really pleased to have recieved it so quickly.
I hope this info is helpful.
Good luck with your applications.
Cheers.
Hi Chris, I've got Vf for my co, how long did it take after you had your medical? I had my over 2 weeks ago and still heard nothin, gettin bit worried, thanks,
andy.

Hi all, i applied back in may 2013, all is going well, has anyone got VF as a case officer as she is mine and she replies back to me straight away with any quiries, but since my medical ive heard nothin off her for a couple of weeks now and ive e mailed her a couple of times. maybe she is on holiday?????????????????

Woo hoo! I got my request to leave for grant of visa today So relieved, and such a quick time frame too, only six and a half months, I am mega relieved as this has not been a smooth ride! You can see my stats at my signature, I've been in Aus a month on a tourist visa, medical was referred due to high BMI, but here I am! Now to plan a little trip to Bali or NZ!
Good work tulip. I'm not to far behind you. Just going over old ground, exactly which visitor visa did you go over on again on your way way trip? I'm planning on going to oz in feb
-
Hi all,
quick question. I am now 5 months in to the process, have sent off all info - no more req'd, done medicals and police checks 5 June.
I have been told 8-9 months which is fine, but as my fiance is already back in Aus am planning on flying out mid-October with no visa or not. From reading the posts that is quite common to be over there on a tourist visa and just leave country for grant date. My concern is when flying out in Oct without a return ticket, what evidence info do i need to give immigration at airport. it will be my third trip to Aus this year so do not want them to refuse entry (happened to my partner when she tried to come back to the UK)
Any suggestions, an email or something from the CO maybe?
Thanks - oh and good luck everyone it feels like a bloody long wait!
Hi, regarding the above, i'm in a similar situation, wanting to go to oz before visa is granted on a holiday pass, evisitior etc, but how does it work, as each time ive travelled to oz or nz ive had to show onward flight evidence. i asked my CO but like snifter said its out of there powers
Overly optimistic have you booked your flight now then? did you get your evisitor before hand then book flight?
thanks

Hubby's visa had been granted! Almost exactly 7mo after submitting. For those who are waiting and wondering if they'll really have to wait 9mo we were advised to expect the full 9mo waiting period. He only sent off his police check a couple of weeks ago. He was granted a subclass 100, too. Woohoo!
Quality. How long have you guys been together? Reason I ask is I'm hoping I get the 100 granted too.
-
We received my partner's visa yesterday, about a month earlier than expected! we were originally given the 8-9 month time frame when we applied in November so we weren't expecting it til mid-July. Also an added surprise, she granted us the 100! We've been together 4 years and aren't married or anything so I wasn't really expecting to get that at all! Our CO was RE and the only contact we had with her the entire time was her first email to say she received our application and when to have the medicals/police checks done. Will be booking flights today!
Thats quality news....im in same boat as you so i hope for the same :-)

Unfortunately my meds have been referred so I can't see my grant arriving before I leave!
Hi tulip ill be doing my meds in a few months, what was the story with yours, I know you we're worried but I didn't quite understand what happened? Now they've been referred?

Woo Hoo,visa granted Today. In NZ at the Moment, fly back to Australia Thursday.)
Hi I've just been assigned VF as case officer , how did you find her, think I've read about her on this forum before, but no harm in asking?
-
Hey Pomsinoz,
Thanks so much to anyone that has so far read my posts and replied, I really appiciate the adivce.
My case office has asked for further information about a speciifc point, this being my partners status here in the UK, she is Australian by birth, has lived here in London with me for 2.5 years and also holds a Maltese pasport due to her father being born there. Malta being part of the EU gives her the right to live and work here in the UK as an EU citizen. As we are applying for an Australian Visa that gives me ( British Citizen ) the right to live and work in Australia I am unsure why we are having to go to lenghs to provide evidence of the UK status of my partner? This was never mentioned in any forms we filled in that we would need to prove this. Not that we can't prove it but has anyone else had to prove that Australian Partner has rights to be here in the UK as part of their evidence?
Thanks for reading.
Joe
Yes the same has happened with me, co assigned today and the only extra info my co (Vf) asked for is a copy of my girlfriends ( she is ozzy) visa. Easy done though, simple photocopy though, fax it in the morning, job done

still waiting for my CO............cant stop checking my emails haha

Onshore applicants only
thanks
-
Hi Andy that is really annoying. However I assume the letter is a stat dec? I was advised on the Australia forum by a migration agent that the 6 week rule is only for onshore applicants so don't worry about that!
Sorry Lucy, just seen this, yes it was a stat dec, that's good news that its for oapplicants thanksapplicants thanks
