Would it be advisable to take a 2006 BMW x5 , 3.0diesel with 120,000 miles, uk value around £10,000 is the re-sale value affected on this as its an import?

We arrive at the beginning of July and would like my daughter to go to school as soon as possible, we want to settle in Wynum/Manley west area so looking at schools there. My daughter is 11 and will just have completed year 7 when we leave the Uk, I understand she will go into year 7 for the remainder of this year and go to high school in January. Any help greatly appreciated

I work in Aberdeen ( heading for Brisbane in 6 weeks) and have lived in Aberdeenshire fo 40+ years, To be honest Aberdeen is in its own artificial bubble due to oil industry which makes it an incredibly expensive place to be,cars,houses,shopping etc are all in line with oil industry wages but unfortunately not everyone makes this kind of money. Like every town or city there are cheap and expensive areas, the cheap ones you wouldn't want to stay here. Aberdonians are very gloomy people and have a very much glass half empty look out on life, Tremendous amount of Eastern European people here aswell
