  1. Thats awesome! So fast! I bet your stoked :jiggy: I am SA too, going to see where ours jobs will be before we decide on a permanent place of residence, but aiming for Happy valley when we arrive. Do you have anything set up for when you arrive? We are keeping an open mind, we've (me and OH) both been in our professions for a while so would be welcome to a change. Am not the kind of person who is a creature of habit, rather be wild and free !! Good luck on your move and moving plans, we have just 2 weeks to go!!
  2. Hi Buzzy bee, What kind of documentation is required to prove we are good tenants? Would it be worth getting references from our agency in the UK before we go out? Or does it have to be an Ozzy? Also, what if you don't have a job? How can i prove i am good for my money? Here in the UK i have always had a job when moving to a new rental, so i'm not sure how it will work when i get out there. Luckily i am being looked after by friends when i first arrive, but i don't want to be in their hair. What do you recommend as a basic check list of 'must have' pieces of documentation please? Thank you
  3. Hi Goodman, i went through this myself. It took around 2-3 weeks to get my 190 visa granted, once the CO checked everything was ok. That was back in March so can't say what it is like now. Good luck! I hope its quick for you :-)
  4. Environmental sector, there doesn't appear to be much about in the centre, so was wondering if it even existed else where!
  5. I would definitely be interested in attending after October. Do you think you will be putting anymore on? Thank you.
  6. What is the job market like down south? I'm really interested :-)
  7. Hi all, We got our visas on Tuesday last week! So stoked!! It took about a month for the police checks to come through, and as soon as we had submitted them to the case officer, we got a visa 3 days later! Good luck if you are still waiting :-)
  8. Thats what our doctor said to us, though my friend didn't hear anything then found out that her husband got referred.
  9. Brilliant! congratulations! Do you mind telling us what state is sponsoring you? I am thinking it may be state dependant on the time it takes for visas to be decided. I spoke to my agent yesterday and they told me it is talking around 5 months! So i am hoping it won't really take that long obviously. We had our medicals last monday and they told us if we didn't hear from them on Wednesday, then there were no problems with our medicals. I had an email from the police this monday to confirm they have received our document on the 14th march! So they must be busy, so hopefully that should be completed soon too. Its all getting so exciting!! :-D
  10. Great news! That's so quick! Congratulations:biggrin: Good luck with yours plans!
  11. So we got our CO on the 8th March, booked our medicals for the 18th, and sent police checks today! Fingers crossed now!!
  12. Wow that's quick! Congrats! Can I ask where you are heading to? I have a feeling it may depend on the state that is sponsoring you, so it will be interesting to see where people are going and how fast their CO is allocated.
  13. Hey Boom, I haven't been allocated a CO as yet, but have completed the Police Check forms ready, and have found my nearest hosiptal for medical checks, so i am just waiting to hear the go ahead really.
  14. I lodged my visa 14th Feb, so will keep you posted! Fingers crossed it all happens and completes by the end of March/ April :jiggy:
  15. That's a fab idea! Its always good to know how others are fairing in this process, good luck with your uploading:smile:. Do you suggest we start a new thread? Let me know and i'll be there!
