1. Thanks for your help looks like we'll have to wait for his birth cert to return. Cheers
 2. So he will not be able to re-enter on his UK passport?
 3. The girlfriend and I are both permanent residents and had a baby boy 2 months ago we are planning to go back to the UK asap (sick family member) and decided to get a UK passport for him as we figured this seems to be the easiest and cheapest to get. My question is will we need any re-entry visa for him upon our return to Australia with his British passport? We are hearing mixed opinions about having resident return visa for him or proof of citizenship however we have already sent off his birth cert for the uk passport which could be weeks. Can anyone shed light on the matter?
 4. Visa approved!! 457 - 186 Temp Resident Transition Stream Nomination Lodged - 10th November 2015 Visa Submitted with medicals and police checks - 26th January 2016 Approved 1st July 2016 For reference we did not bother filling out form 80 although this was listed on the document checklist.
 5. It's Truly crazy, I've really skimmed down on the detail as i entered and left Australia about 3 times in the past 3 years and about 6 times 8 years ago when i was out here on a Working holiday visa. They do not even provide enough boxes to enter the information and the fact they want you to document your trips back home aswell! Who knows their siblings place of birth? Or information on your tutors from 15 years ago? Seriously?! Whilst i'm on topic about the 186 visa. There is now a new requirement as of 14th December 2015 to sign the Paying for visa sponsorship form. We had a bit of trouble understanding what selection to choose. Either: a) I declare that I have engaged in conduct in relation to this application that constitutes acontravention of subsection 245AS(1) of the Migration Act 1958. or b) I declare that I have not engaged in conduct in relation to this application thatconstitutes a contravention of subsection 245AS(1) of the Migration Act 1958. Selecting B basically states you have not committed any scams or been forced into paying for your job/sponsorship from what i've been told. I can see a lot of people ticking the box for option A as it's not very well explained. Link to form Link to information about form
 6. Thanks for this Zet i have been filling this evil document in all day and almost in tears with the information the want. It's actually listed as a form that is required on the 186 document checklist! So we have been so confused about whether to do this or not. I've filled in the majority of it as i figure having all this information to hand will probably come in use for the future.

 8. I am interested in hearing about how i could have done that Raul? Some good news... My visa was granted today. So i'll pass on this information so it can be of some help to others.
 9. Hello all, I'm just wondering on the processing times for a subsequent 457 visa. I've had to leave Australia and apply off shore as my bridging visa whilst waiting on an MRT did not permit me to apply on shore. I have obviously cancelled the MRT and left the country. I have lodged all relevant information, proof of relationship, medicals and police checks from both the UK and Aus but still haven't had any response in over 3 weeks. My girlfriend is currently in Australia and we miss each other very much, the wait is causing some financial inconvenience. Is there any way I can speed up the process? Would it worth writing to immigration and explaining the circumstance or would I be wasting my time? I lodged on the 23rd of Jan and I've not had any response other than it has been lodged. Will they even tell me when a CO has been allocated? Many thanks. Dan.

I bet you are the weather has been nice out here, i've worn shorts everyday since i've arrive in early Dec (apart from those nights out) Sydney, is an incredible city with so much to do, and the bars in my opinion are some of the nicest in the world. However it's not cheap! Expect to fork out 10 bucks for a bottle of beer in some places. I'm good for meeting up perhaps a few beers down the Opera bar would be a good start. I have a pal that lives in the apartment in the rocks i'll see about getting him out.
