  1. I think you should contact your CO, when was the last time you contacted him? In January 2013 the medicals used to take up to 4 months, but now I think now this changed and it takes 2-3 months
  2. Dear ahmed The medical might take abit longer time, it took 2.5 months for me so dont worry, also a friend of mine just received his visa last week after 2.5 months as well I know waiting is too hard but dont worry inshala you will get the visa soon

  4. Hi, My wife is pregnant after the 190 visa grant. We will move to Adelaide on September 21, 2013 and her delivery weeks will be in Jan 2104. I saw that there's waiting period before we can have payments from centrelink regarding child support, do you know how long is that is this the same for medicare? do you we have to wait for certain time to use the medical services? as this will make huge difference for us regarding the costs of the delivery operation Please help me with the info. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Haythem
  5. Im not sure if this is the right thread... Im flying from Cairo, Egypt to Adelaide and Im booking my air ticket I need to ask a question, why there's big difference between the same flight price if I search on emirates.com and from expedia.com for the same flight? the price in expedia is less than emirates.com by 600 $ ?? isnt this strange??
  6. Well, I was confused like you, the point is, the first entry date will be calculated 1 year from your medicals or police check which is earlier, so if this will affect you decision, so wait as your lawyer said, by the way, you will need TRN number to be able to make medicals and you get this after assigning CO. but on the other hand, assigning CO may take anytime between 1-3 months sometimes, and your police check and medicals may take around 1 month or less and after that the medicals horrible back log (3-4 months) and all these months might make you do it now to be ready as soon as you get CO, you will be able to submit immediately. All this information and dates was for offshore, im not sure if its different for onshore.
  7. We made our medicals 27/feb/2013 and we must make first entry date 17/dec/2013 which is less than a year from medicals date actually
  8. Thanks all my dear friends, this forum and this post helped me alot to keep myself together along the way while waiting , wish all who is waiting to get good news soo soon

  14. im also team 33 CO NV medicals done on 21 feb 2013 still waiting.....
  15. It depends on the CO, some of them are really helpful and other are rude like you said But i guess they are stressed because of the moc backlog (almost 4 months) im sure 1000s are waiting and sending emails asking for updates Last week i saw grants on other posts and seems things moving and i saw people got grants without referral, seems they are trying to help moc with the backlog by not referring all cases as they used to do before Hope we all get reply soon
  16. Email your co and ask him for update about your medical but not before 2-3 weeks after medical
  17. Theres alot waiting for medicals, the moc backlog around 4 months Im waiting since 21 feb Hope we all get reply soon Last week i saw alot of visas issued, seems things are moving :err: but slow .....
  18. Congrats candygirl, wish you the best in your next stage and i wish we all get positive reply soon
  19. Yes matt, this is really good idea  We are all tired and frustrated from waiting
  20. I'm so sorry for that, maybe your agent can ask for clarification why, let me tell you when I first sent my documents to CO after SA SS and AIM assessment, the CO said that she is not convinced with the AIM letter and my agent replied to that and asked AIM to respond to the CO directly and after that the CO approved the AIM assessment. Hope this might help you
  21. I dont think this is the case, me and my wife made our medicals in same day same hospital but we got referred, seems there's no clear role for referring some posts say that they refer all HR countries but in some cases we dont see that and in some posts we see people with A grade get referred as well its a bit confusing, it will be better if the DIAC post clarification for this issue and it will be much better if they can clear the backlog they have in global health office, as I saw posts say that the waiting time is between 2-4 months now.....
  22. I recommend you work on your PCC immediately as its not related to the CO for the medical, after you submit your visa application you will get TRN number and with this number you can make your medicals even before you get CO but this has pros and cons the good thing is when you get CO you will have all PCC and medicals done and by this you will save yourself sometime on the other hand, the date of visa will be connected to your medical test date, so if you are not planning to fly to australia shortly after you get the visa, so wait till you get CO, this was my agent advise to me
