In terms of areas I suggest in order of rental price low to high would be: 1. North Melbourne (10 minutes walk to hospital precinct) 2. West Melbourne (10 mins) 2. Carlton North (20 mins) 3. Fitzroy (25 mins) all great places to live. suggest that CBD or docklands apartments may not be what you want

Bus 904 stops near T4 (tiger terminal) to broadmeadows train station. Every 15 mins peak Train to Melbourne $6 one way Used it a few times and really easy and cheap

I'm intrigued Which part of Melbourne is underdeveloped ? Good luck with the move to london - a true city
