Hi, I am in process of applying a Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subsequent Entrant (subclass 489) for my new born baby who is now in my home country. When I am applying online, the I am bit confused about the first question that is "Relationship to the primary applicant" . Which answer I should choose, is it parent or child. Please suggest me the correct answer, I can lodge the application at the earliest. Thanks

I am on 475 visa and validated 2 months ago and returned back to my home country. I will go to Australia permanently in June. My problem is my passport does not have 6 months validity and will expire in October 2013. I will renew my passport soon from my home country itself. After renewal how can I inform DIAC regarding my new passport. Please guide me... Thanks

Hi, I have got 475 provisional state sponsored visa in last August. I will move to WA next week. I used an Agent to process the visa. I know that once I meet the conditions of 475 visa, I can apply for 887 PR visa. When I paid his service fees, He forwarded only the visa grant notice. He never gave me the DIAC login password. When I test checked the procedure to apply for 887 visa online, it is asking a password to go further. So I asked my agent to give me the password. He he said password is not required apply for 887 online. Please advice me whether I must get the password from Agent ? Whether is it require to have the password to apply for 887 visa online? Please advice. Regards

hi milliem, Thanks for the reply and advice. My situation does not allow me to move immediately. But, I read that 475 holders will get 1 year more when you change it to 489. Thats my hope, if I didn't meet criteria within 3 years. Thanks

Hi milliem, I am also in 475 and planning to validate visa in next month. I will validate my visa and come back. I will start my permanent life in WA only in June. Since I am out of Australia more than 3 months, does it affect my visa? Do they revoke my visa? I am bit confused with your comments. Please explain Regards

Hi David, Your situation is exactly like mine. I did my skill assessment with CPA in 2010. That time there was no IELTS required for assessment. The great thing is that, your CPA assessment is valid for 5 years. So you don't need to do the assessment again. And also you have 6 band score already for IELTS. So Don't wait start processing for 489 visa. I got my 475 visa (now changed as 489) in August 2012, will reach Australia in March 2013. My situation was exactly like yours and I was 31 yrs when I applied in last May. I am sure you have enough point with your work experience. So all the best.

Hi, Yes Jjoti! You are right. I am one of the accountant who got CPA assessment and skilled visa without IELTS Academic 7. IELTS 7 is mandatory for CPA assessment from July 2010. All those who have done the assessment before this date was without IELTS. I did in March 2010. And also at that time the validity of the assessment was 5 years. Thats why I could use this year. Now the validity is 2 years only. I hope its clear all the best

Hi, I and my OH planning to fly to Perth in March 2013 to activate our 475 Visa and return back to our home country. Can any one can give me suggestion regarding the following questions. 1. How many days stay is ideal when we just go for Visa activation. 2. Is there any Govt formalities which I must do during this my first visit. 3. We also had the same problem with our 1 year old son. Even though doctor could trace his file, Doctor did all the tests and he told me that he will contact e-health to update the baby's file. Everything went well and later all of us meds finalised without any trouble. So, leave this issue to the doctor, and he will do the needful for your child. Make sure all of you do the meds at the same time.

Hi milliemolly123/jilkfree1978 Thanks for the advice. In my grant letter it is mentioned as 3 years visa from the first entry. So no worries. How do you get your visa label. What I should do? Is grant letter is enough to fly to Perth? Please advice. Regards
