  1. Sorry, as we applied as a trade occupation I don't know processing times for Hotel Manager but have a look around the forum and do a few searches and you might be able to find some more info. I think it's often a wait of a few months for Vetassess, when my sister undertook the skill assessment late last year for Project Manager I'm sure it took 16-17 weeks (although this may be out of date now). Can't your Agent give you any advice, they must have other experiences of submitting to Vetassess?? And you are paying them for help after all.

I recommend trying to get used to the waiting lol Every part of the process involves a lot of waiting! Saying that, we're at the final hurdle and the wait is slowly killing me........

  2. Hiya

You have to submit evidence to Vetassess of all your qualifications, along with evidence that you meet all of the other requirements.

I think the processing times can be found on the Vetassess website. Are you applying under a trade occupation? The process is a bit different if you have to do a practical assessment/technical interview.

  3. Oh the link says 'Complete character particulars etc etc for this applicant' When you click on it, it directs you to fill out form 80, which you need to save and reattach it to the checklist. Which I have done....twice....the CO is probably going to think im 'special'....:P

Keeping fingers crossed because my situation is a bit complicated. Im on a WHV and want to continue working with the same company and therefore applied for 189 so that my husband who is currently in the US can come and join me. Maybe the Immi Dept thought my application was Whaaaack and wanted me to do Form 80 just to understand what the situation is...

And thanks Shellyk666 Im pretty sure by the end of next week you WILL HAVE that grant!!

    thanks @semicharmed13

i hope so! Good luck xx

  4. I just realised that i sent a lot of docs not certified.. so just a pic of the original. lol so for sure they will contact me about that. But i think all going well it will be close between us :) because they seem to be hammering out the 190s recently. Friday is always a big day for visa grants.. so today:)

as as long as you upload colour scans of original documents they don't need to be certified.

Surely due to the time difference in Adelaide and Brisbane where they're processed we'll hear during the night?? I think the working day of Friday has already done over there and that's it until next week now. At least I might be able to sleep better over the weekend!

the 190s seem to be really moving right now, I don't think there'll be much in it lol

    fingers crossed!

  5. Nope :( Iv been checking it 8 million times a day incl my junk folder....No correspondence or any sign of a CO. I doubt I have a CO yet, they are only just sifting through the June applicants. Maybe Im one of those random unlucky ones, but its funny coz I had already uploaded form 80 4 days before that link appeared...

Strange. Or maybe you're one of those random lucky ones who get's a CO early! I think I'd upload my Form80 again at the link just to be on the safe side!!

  6. Hey Guys, I lodged my application on the 21st of July and front loaded everything (well as much as I could!) and attached my form 80 and birth certificate a week ago. However it doesn't look like they have acknowledged it as it still hasn't showed up as 'received' on the check list.(Usually I get the 'received' after a day or two) And all of a sudden yesterday, a link showed up under where the 'Health requirement' used to be.... asking me to fill out FORM 80. Has anyone else been prompted to fill out Form 80?

I haven't seen a request to complete the Form 80 and thought this was only randomly requested from a CO. Have you checked your email (and junk folder!) for any contact with a Case Officer? Or check the correspondence bit in your immiaccount?

  7. shellyk666, do not be upset. As you could already notice grants are given in a random way so if someone who applied after you was assigned CO doesn't mean that there are some problems with your application. As you've already said you will probably get a direct grant sooner or later.

    Thanks @4kusnik

I know grants are relatively random and that it can't be long. I am hoping that we've already been allocated a CO but that they're working through our application and there has been no reason to contact us (that's what I keep telling myself anyway). Fingers crossed for next week.

Good luck everyone, hopefully the wait won't be for much longer xxx

  8. Another week without hearing anything  Looking at the visa tracker I can see everyone around me either being allocated a CO or receiving direct grants, it surely can't be long until it's my turn to hear. And I think that's the problem, I had really hoped to hear something this week. I have even been waking in the night and can't get back to sleep until I've checked my emails!! I can think of little else at the moment and find myself either on here, PerthPoms, the visa tracker, my immiaccount or checking my emails. I'm either checking something or thinking about checking something! It's so distracting!

  9. Hello everyone....

about the medicals.... We have done ours on the 15th of August but nothing has changed on the immi account status, still recommended and not required or received.....

On the emedical account there is only the questionnaire that we filled in to book the medicals, but the one that we did at the clinic in London with the photo etc

    is it normal?

We have lodged on the 27th of June and I am dying for some movement!!!!!

    thanks for your help

It sounds like the results haven't been uploaded yet. If I were you I'd give the clinic a call to check, maybe they're slow to upload. Could anything have been referred?

  10. Aaaah well that explains that then! Thanks very much I will add them. So when do us July lodgers realistically think we will be getting grants then, I'm quietly confident that I'll have my grant by mid to late October. I've actually already booked flights there on the 26th September just decided to throw caution to the wind and go.

Make sure you add your details to the 190 visa tab. Have a look and see when others are being granted, might give you an idea of when you'll get yours. We lodged our 189 on 9th June and have booked flights for 23rd October, although I'm hopeful we'll have our visas by then (otherwise we'll delay them). If you haven't got your 190 visa before your flights how are you going to enter the country?? It might be a bit iffy going with one way flights on a tourist visa.

  11. Is this actually accurate? My name isn't on there and I lodged 23rd July, I also noticed that I can edit the info for anyone?

Hi Biddy17, the tracker isn't one created by DIBP but is an informal spreadsheet that we all have access to and update as appropriate. Add your details x

  12. It's so easy to worry even though you know it's completely irrational so I understand where you're coming from. It's so unlikely that your medicals will find something wrong enough for your visas to be refused, you'd already know about something like that I'm sure.

good luck for next week all the same xxxx

  13. Hi Shelly. Meds & pcc's.

Im so excited for you! When do you think you're going to upload PCCs and medicals then? This visa is all I can think about right now, I've even had trouble sleeping the last 2 nights and find myself checking my emails in the middle of the night. I hope we hear soon or I'm going to be an exhausted nervous wreck lol

  14. No worries - Dan felt exactly the same, I am more worried about the IELTS

I know what you mean. My hubby was more worried about the IELTs, it took him 3 attempts to get the 7s that we needed! It's for this reason I wouldn't advice waiting until you've passed the skill assessment before booking the IELTS, just in case it takes longer than you thought to get those grades. I hated and dreaded IELTS, and it wasn't even me doing it!

  15. Hello!

My hubby applied as a joiner rather than a carpenter and did his technical interview up in Manchester. He said the bloke doing the interview was relaxed and really nice. He didn't feel like he was trying to catch him out and has said that as long as you are actually doing the trade you should have no problem whatsoever.

It's hard not to worry but tell him to have faith, they're only going to ask questions about something he does every working day of his life ;-)

Good luck and let us know how you get on xx

  16. A question on Form 80

Did you upload the electronic version of form 80 or did you print it out ,sign manually and upload a scanned copy...

Went through a lot of literature but could not find an answer to this..

    Appreciate your help

At the top of the Form 80 I found on the immi website is states 'Please use a pen, and write neatly in English using BLOCK LETTERS'. I have therefore printed it out and manually signed it, just need to upload it now.

  17. Hi Guys!!!

We are new to the site and thought we would say hello!! So, "HELLLOOOOOOO"

We submitted our visa on the 26th of June and are still waiting, our story became a little complicated when on the day of our medical we found out Keileigh was pregnant! Our immigration agent said it shouldn't affect our application so fingers crossed eh!

Its great to hear news on those of you who have had their visas granted so big congratulations.

we are hoping to fly out towards the end of october to stay with family, its been a dream for a long time, cannot wait...

Hey, congratulations on your news! We're also aiming to fly out towards the end of October, we just need the visa!! Where are you heading?

    Good luck x

  18. Ok, so last night we emailed the birth certificates that had been requested and this morning woke up to an email saying that our visa had been granted!!! Firstly I can't believe they they responded so quickly and secondly can't believe we've got a grant!!!!!!!!!!

Soooooo happy right now. Good luck everyone still waiting and hopefully you will all hear soon xxxxx

No Way!! That's super quick. Am I right that you lodged on the 6th June? You must be so pleased. Do you know when and where you hope to move?

  19. From what I recall we saw the 'successful' result online before receiving the email but it all happened within the same day (1 weeks after the technical interview took place). If I were you I'd either email or phone Vetassess and ask for their clarification. Following this we received in the post the formal letter confirming the successful completion of the skill assessment, which we have uploaded to our visa application as evidence, along with a AQF certificate 3 in joinery.

Did Vetassess have your email address or you agents?
