  2. Perminant residency granted today!

Applied 15th June drc at Melbourne. British nursery person.

  3. The 5-8 months is from applying. However, the actual dates they publish is just the date up until which co's have been appointed.

They have also said that the 5-8 months doesn't apply at the moment because of Junes influx of applications.

    Thanks for valuable inputs.

Last week of June 2012 non DRC applicants should expects processing time of 9-12 months according to latest update from COE Melbourne. DRC applicants will be procesed 3-5 months.

  4. Hi Marcus, im in the same boat as you, i applied DRC 119 on 28th June but havent recieved ack letter yet, i called up DAIC and they confirmed that the application was recieved and will be generating the ack letter soon. My MA says he has chased it up with DAIC as well and the ack letter can come anytime.

    Cheers

    Hi

My friend applied for 119 on June 28 in COE MEL and still waiting for Ackl. letter

  5. its depends in what group ur occupation fall in if its considered skill level 3 and not a trade qualification then it would be considered a cert III level position only ...its POSITION which is considered diploma level or cert III LEVEL not ur qualification for example ...ur a cook and u have bachelor degree in cooking but ur position cook is a skill level 3 and required cert III only therefore ur bachelor degree isnt considered for RSMS

From July 1-2012 it will be cert III+two year expr. or cert 4 as mentioned in earlier post. Before new changes for RSMS cert III + expr was required.

The minimum educational requirement for RSMS is Diploma except certain technical trades like Fitter in Group 3 – Technician and trades workers. May be he got wrong advice. Or You have to prove you are an exceptional appointment, like already working on 457 for last two years in same occupation.

  7. Well, I heard a very sad story.

One of my colleagues applied for RSMS, but his visa was rejected.

He has been working for the sponsor company for over one year as casual. The reason of rejection was "not qualified". I just heard this from my boss, so I am not sure what this mean, but I presume that his work experience wasn't enough or simply not enough evidence (papers..like certification or work history,IELTS etc etc)

I did applied at the same time as him. only difference between me and him were, I am working as full time over a year and gave many evidence and wrote work experience (not just name of restaurants but what Ive done, how I worked etc) for my visa.

    Just notes....

Our occupation is cook, region is Perth WA. He and I didn't use MA.

I applied 7th June - got visa 14 June. He got the nomination approval letter in june from immi.

That means you have non DRC application (no MA) and you you got visa in two weeks. May be I am missing something. Other Non DRC RSMS cases are waiting more than six months now.

  8. So it means if quota is filled where other applicants will go ?

    Hi

If quota is filled remaining applications will be moved to year July 2013-2014 allocation. So, people apllying later this year will be processed after July 2013 due to 9 month processing delay announced.

  9. Hi, everyone,

It's glad to see this thread. I've got a question concerning the Employer Eligibility of RSMS.

My employer want to sponsor me in the name of its new company, which the current company will hold 60% shares of and has not been registered yet. However, according to the website of DIC, the employer's business must be established and actively engaged in the activity for which it is registered in the regional area. Does this mean that the new company can not meet the Employer Eligibility?

    Seeking you help.

    Cheers

Is your present employer located in Regional area or new compnay will be in located in regional area or your employer have some kind of record with DIAC many things count. Ofcourse your company have to prove that they are established and actively engaged through finanacial statements etc.

  10. There must be something more to the application being declared as "invalid"... there have been so many cases on people applying for RSMS 119 and are onshore and when CO's are ready to grant the visa.. they have been sending out pre-grant letters informing the applicant to exit the country so that the visa is granted whilst off-shore...

I have also applied for 119 visa, I am onshore... working for my company for the past 2yrs now...

Why somebody have to apply for 119 visa while onshore not 857 visa. What are the conditions like substasive visa or..... Can sombody clarify?

  11. Hi sambos

I still got visa until feb 2013 I just come back we have business in my home country. So then my MA told when u r applied for 119 u have to be offshore. I am just waiting bcz I don't want to waste money on ticket any more.

You do not have to be out of country for RSMS 119 lodgement only at the time of visa grant purposes.

  12. Hi Ginni,

Application and Nomination lodged 15 November 2011 in Perth.

WP you have to make a inquiry from Perth they are already processing,

"The Perth Centre of Excellence (COE) RSMS cases which were received on 4 January 2012."

Something may be missing like your proper contact info

    Thanks

  13. Hi Sambo85,

I think they are actually supposed to make a decision within 5-8 months of lodgement but if they do take longer they suddenly change the rules. My MA already went above the CO's head and spoke to the team manager and that's what he was told, that the time frame only starts when a CO is allocated... He was just as surprised as we were by this. The CO did need some info from the company sponsoring me but that was given to him about 5 months ago and he didn't request anything else or give any indication that there is a problem with our application. According to my research and our MA we have a strong case so im not sure why he is not doing anything. unfortunately there seems to be nothing we can do but wait. Lets hope things start happening after the 1st August!

    Hi

Waitng timeframe of 5-8 months is after the lodgement date and not CO assignment. New waiting for CO assign. of 9-11 months will be after late June-2012 lodgement applications.

  14. I must admit, I would be rather shocked if I turned up at a hairdressers during normal work hours and it was shut. Immigration must think the same. I would be surprised if they won an appeal.

You are right Blossom79. Some fly by hairdressing and Restaurant businesses raised the alarm. Now DIAC is targetting business with short operating history and few employees.

  15. Another day gone, no sign of any acknowledgement letter or any communication from DAIC :(

My friend applied at Mel COE on June 25 for onshore 857 along with nomination application. He received his Ackg letter Monday July 23. I heard from other people who applied in beggining last week of June start getting ackg. letters.

This year DIAC received about 30,000 RSMS applications and with quota for 16000, I don't how many people be pushed to July 2013. About 20,000 pending from year 2011-2012 and new one coming it will be waiting game for many or they will use pooled quota from ENS and get away with planning level 16000.

  16. hi veenameene i m also in the similar situation like u ,my nomination is alrdy approved ,it was so quick ,but now i m also waiting fr my visa approvel ,i applied my visa application separatey after approvel of my nomination,i applied on 6march n hav not heard anything yet, even no case officer yet

    Hi

If it is Non DRC application, It will be minimum five months before CO will be assigned based on the results of other posts. For DRC it will be under four weeks. Hold your breath and sit tight.

  17. Hi
