That's nice to know thank you, she has been a nurse 10 years 7 years Intensive/High Dependency Care and the last 3 years as a spinal injuries specialist in the community. We have a long way to go we know that, just wish there was a magic wand. :swoon:

Do you know if the Fiona Stanley are recruiting over here with sponsorship?? We only looked at ACT coz they are recruiting Prison Officers just a shame that Western Oz arn't yet. But fingers crossed in the future!! Got a friend in the job over there plus an old work colleague is now in the Perth Police.

Thanks for that Fifi69 (great name), it's something to consider but there looks some lovely areas to live I've had a quick look!! Would much prefer Perth to be honest though, coz we have friends in Secret Harbour and Canning Vale!! The wife is a nurse so we are looking at the moment.

Hello everyone, i just wondered if anyone has any views on living and working in ACT as it's not really a place I hear people talking about in regards to living and working!! It is the only state at the moment that is recruiting Prison Officers from the UK with sponsorship. Any help or guidance on any issue would be greatly appreciated in regards to Correctional Services and housing in the area. I also wondered why this is the only state recruiting at present!! I am a Prison Officer and have been so for the last 17 years and just wondered what our options would be when we make the move over, Kirsty is 35 and I am 40 years old and we have 2 girls aged 13 and 6. any advice on salaries and visa's would be much appreciated. Hi Commander, i am a Prison Officer myself have have been for the last 17 years prior to that i was in The Army for 6 years. Me and the family are looking to emigrate in the future but i thought our job wasn't on the wish list never mind being sponsored for it. Hi everyone hope your all coping with the heat over there in regards to our minus degree temps over here, not envious too much be fair!!! just wondered if anyone could help, my wife is hoping to secure a career in nursing in Australia and we are very open to the destination to be honest although out preferred place would be NSW. I am 40 years old and my wife is 36 and we have 2 girls aged 13 and 6, we are quite satisfied that she will secure employment without too much trouble as she is a ITU/HDU Staff Nurse but since leaving school I have been in the army for 7 years and a prison officer for 17 years and wondered who would look to employ me when we make the big move over (if anyone ) Any help good or bad most grateful.
