Hello Scott! I didn't think anyone but me and my husband had moved to Preston! We're staying at bell city! Not really impressed with the area, we've been here for nearly 7weeks. We're planning on moving to the city as soon as our lease is up! We've not really seen much night life, or cool places to hang out around here! There might be some bars on the high street, but that's more towards the city end. We haven't really met many people around here, so would be cool to meet someone around our age! if you wanna meet up let us know Abbie and Peter

Hi Sarah & Ben Have you found anywhere to stay? Weve found a nice apartment in Preston called rydges residence, to hopefully stay for a few months while we find our feet! Weve not got jobs yet so bit scared about that buy will hopefully be ok. Just sorting out our shipping at present, I didnt think it would be so difficult! Hey, I am emigrating to Melbourne next march! Am getting really worried as I'm looking at jobs in ICU and they all want you to have 2 years experience and critical care course! I really want to stay in the same job but it just doesn't seem do able! Even when am looking for general jobs I haven't a clue what to apply for ie enrolled do I try graduate positions as I only have 1 years ICU experience! Can anyone help?

Just to see what your CV looks like I ve started one and looked on many websites to see how to tailor mine, but there also very different! Wow thats great, am hoping to stay in the ICU! my hubbies just passed his MCSE so, will start applying after christmas! Do you recommend just applying for jobs earlier, our flights are booked 6th march, so we have a way to go yet! Ive just googled Peter Mac's looks good how did you find out about it, are you nurse/doc?? xx

Hey Ian & Maya, Thankyou for all the information, Ive added you to contacts hope you dont mind!:smile: Were really excited, am just in the process of applying for my nursing registration 'Ive not told my work yet'..... so that should be fun!haha We keep looking at the houses, and places to live and they all look really expensive but we will try and barter them down!! what are you both doing for jobs..... How are you finding it making friends? are people friendly? Its a scary move, but were hoping it will be worth it in the end! Look forward to hearing from you both Abbie & Peter

Sorry for delay in reply! We dont know where to start off really,we have been looking at renting in the city first and exploring.(do you recommend anywhere??) Am hoping to get a nursing job but think its too early to apply yet,and the OH a job in IT! Fingers crossed its not too difficult. Hey everyone, Am hoping someone can help me. Iam currently working in ICU in the UK, and I want to continue working in this area, but Ive been told by someone who works in Melbourne that you need to have an ICU course to work in ICU in oz, is this true????? I come over in March nxt year I dont think I will have enough time to get on the course!!! help!!!

Hey, good luck with Move. We booked our flights to Melbourne the other day, got a bargain £1300 for 2adults with stop over in Singapore (Emirates Airline). STA Travel seem to be the cheapest we found but we go March xx
