  1. Just to let people know the Brisbane immi office were super friendly and reassured me that everything is fine with my application. The lady laughed at the fact my CO had accidentally requested a Form 80 for my son. Turns out they just wanted to know if I had ever lived in the Bahamas as I got married there! They reassured me they would process my Form 80 today and I would get my grant early July. They did state it could be one or two weeks into July before I heard but assured me I could call them if I had not heard anything by the 15th.
  2. Just got through on the phone with no wait to the Brisbane office...
  3. At this time, I think it's a case of dont worry about why... Just enjoy it! We win some we lose some! Congratulations again!
  4. Lovely to hear from you and a lovely report to read, keep them coming when you get a chance. I am sure the weather will soon warm up!

    Done it

Congratulations, wishing you all the best.
  6. Congratulations on the visa grant! I am soooo confused with what is happening with immigration at the moment haha...
  7. Wow congratulations Hemeth, that is good news! Do you think you could identify any part of your application that would be reason to allocate early? 12 days since I emailed Immi and still no reply. Going to call tonight.
  8. It is very hard to gain sponsorship any longer as a nurse and if you do, my advice with children is to say no straight away. Would you uproot your children from schools and family to arrive at a job you potentially hate. What if the hospital you are employed with take a dislike to you and make your life a living nightmare. You have no security at all.
  9. You would initially be on a temporary visa for two years and would have to pay for schooling as a temporary resident. I believe this is $4000 each approx. That wipes $8000 off the proposed salary immediately. I agree, I think you would be fools to consider that offer and it is very unlikely for me to say that to people on this forum...
  10. Iv just been discussing it and then thought "how would my 4 year old even sign it". Pretty sure it would be pointless to fill it in for him... Im going to wait till Tuesday and if I don't hear from a CO I will have to find a way to call Australia. My Giffgaff sim card does not allow international calls as far as I know.
  11. I have completed the Form 80 for myself and my husband as I am presuming it was a mistake. It may sound really dumb, but I never even considered just filling in the form 80 for my 4 year old as well just in case ;-) - I am not able to think outside the box any more! This whole process has mentally exhausted me.
  12. This waiting is driving me round the twist.... I emailed CO 8 days ago and still no reply. I phone London Immi and they couldn't help. As my husband keeps saying £4200 for the worst service ever! This is so frustrating. I just wanted to clarify that the CO had made a mistake in saying my 4 year old needed a form 80. I don't want to press the "information requested uploaded" button until she confirmed it was a mistake but I can't even get a reply to that. I don't see why making us wait till the 1st of July will have any impact on next year's allocation numbers. Why couldn't they have just allocated an additional 3000 visas or so. Surely that's a lot of money for the govt especially when we are coming over to work for the long term. Win/win situation for them.
  13. I went for removal from jurisdiction before the visa. You don't know how long the case could take and you also never know 100% whether you will be granted permission. The law can change very rapidly. Also for the 189 visa I had to submit the papers to prove I had permission to take the children.
  14. Hopefully uploading our F80's today. Gutted we didn't do it earlier.
  15. My advice is to be honest with her rather than let her get her hopes up. Once a nurse it is difficult to take a step backwards when you love your job. I would suggest like others say do the top up before you go. There are no guarantee's to a lot of your questions as it still early days and no one is an expert.
  16. We went to Bridgewater, really good reviews, e-medical uploads (was uploaded the very next morning) and cheaper.
  17. Thanks everyone, yes I meant 15th April. My bday is 15th May. My silly computers at work wont download the form 80! How frustrating. Will have to complete it tonight after a 13 hour shift :-(
  18. I am 15th June and I got a case officer, however they requested form 80 for myself and my four year old son, which does not add up!!! Emailed them back to confirm. Anyone know how long it takes for them to reply? It's adelaide team 23.
  19. M005 I think thats all you need to do, the website does not seem to make sense at times! Mine is the same as yours stating 'no action needed'.
  20. Mine uploaded in a day but Manchester were uploading them whilst we were still sat in the waiting room...Might just depend on the clinic? Perhaps call them?
  21. From the reply from DIBP it appears like a delay email is equivalent to you passing all the requirements. Of course noone knows 100% but when (if?) I get mine I think I will be happy with that. Less than a month to July now too. Congratulations on the delay email hehe. They don't seem to be processing very fast this week.
  22. There never seems to be any pattern to these things, i presume that our cases are all different (for example I am a family of 5 who needs checking). Then each CO, team and location will process slightly differently... Looking at previous grants they all seem to catch up within a week or so...
  23. The spreadsheet link is on page 8 of this thread, the very top post.
