Is it possible to change visa once it is already granted. I have my 475 visa ( 2011 rules ) ,sponsored by SA . But when i initially landed there , very few available jobs for my trade which is in Construction - contract administration. Not much on going projects. Even on online application very seldom that i can see any vacancy on my field of industry. Since i am state sponsored i am obliged to live in the state for 2 years and work for 1 yr.. My question is, can i change my visa to a different type like 175, as per new points system, i can qualify for 60 points for 175 visa without state sponsorship. is it possible do to that? i am really depressed , its been a month since i arrive still no job here.

hi jmt, i am also of the same profession as yours, 10 yrs experience acquired from dubai and philippines. i am starting to get tensed and afraid, it's been a month since i arrived here in adelaide, i am not getting feedback from all the applications i sent.. i have revised my cv have into 3 pages only, more on general view of the projects handled and duties. what can you suggest on cv writing should it be more on detailed, like mentioning the detailed responsibilities.i have a detailed version of cv which is at 7 pages.. is that more appealing to employers and agents

as per immigration website, i came across on dependent definition. DependantA person who is wholly or substantially reliant on another person for financial support to meet their basic needs for food, shelter and clothing; or wholly or substantially reliant on their family member for financial support due to being incapacitated for work because of the total or partial loss of bodily or mental functions.

hopefully . she is dependent to me financially. reason why i want to migrate is so we can stay in a country where i can work, and also be together with my daughter and her.

thanks. hopefully this will work out and my money will not be wasted. regarding the balance family test, it really confused me while i am applying for my visa. i am wondering regarding medical test, does she needs to undergo the same standard examination. my mother , got a hip replacement , almost 2 years already. she still havent get back to her normal mobility, still using a walker, and i am still hiring a physical therapist so she could recover. will it have a negative effect on her medical?

i am supporting both my mother and my disabled brother. my mother is a widowed. i am still working in UAE, 6 yrs already. i have remittances proofs that i have been supporting them thru sending them money on monthly basis since 2006. they are living in my house in the philippines. yes my mother has a monthly pension thru my father's pension but it is very small amount to support her. just 3,000 pesos monthly,not enough to even support her monthly needs.no plan yet for my brother. i have been paying for 2 maids to assist them while i am working away. but now since i am migrating to australia, i am thinking of way on how can i bring my mother and my daughter first.

when i was applying for my visa, as advised by my agent, it is better not to include her yet since according to them there is a posibility my visa application can be disapprove with issue on proving the balance of family test. i have 2 older siblings. one was in qatar , married, and the other one is disabled . i was basically supporting my mother,my brother and my daughter. they are all living in the philippines. i am a single mother and my daugther was included in the visa grant. in the application , i have included my mother as a non-migrating dependent. from the start i really wanted to include my mother in the application, but it is my agent who insisted not to. now when i asked them on how can i add my mother in my visa as 475 also, no reply .in the immi website, i have read below. therefore it is possible to add. i just didnt know how to start, maybe somebody can explain please. I have a migration agent but doesnt actually knows what to do either.its non sense of paying them. Thats my wrong decision consulting one. They just told me to provide what ever the case officer requires doesnt even gave me ideas .

Hi need your advise. i already lodge my application in diac and i got a reply from my case officer instructing me to do the medical and provide court order regarding the below: Custody Court Order You are required to provide a valid court order showing that you have the legal right to remove the children included in your application from their country of residency. If this is not available, you may provide a statutory declaration from the child’s other legal parent giving that child permission to migrate to Australia. As per republic act law in the philippines , the mother of an illegitimate child has the sole custody of her child. It doesnt actually needs a court order since there was no issue of parental rights. The father of my child walked away even before she was born. I am the only parent in her birth certificate. Are there other documents the immigration will consider other than a court order.. That will be a difficult process if i go through.

I already got my SA state sponsorship approval. I am planning to lodge my application under the 475 visa type to DIAC. Is it possible to change the visa classification to 175 even it is already submitted to them. I am waiting for my ielts result on mar 4, since i will be just needing for 10 pts more. If i got the all 7 bands on my ielts i do not need the extra points coming from regional state sponsorship.I just want to submit it now to start the processing and also to make use of the 60 days validity of the sponsorship if ever i will not make the 7 bands score. Please advise .
