yes you are right Katerina, its very frustrating.... waiting is not good for health.
One thing i cant understand that how perth just moved from 18th of August to 2nd November in just 2 weeks time, amazinggg
We can have a little idea from here that less applications gone to DIAC in months of August to November. hope Parra and Melbn will do processing, like Perth did.
Could be because of the visa charge increase from the 1 st of July.. Everybody was trying to lodge before that.. That's my theory anyway
-
Agree with you dunken, very frustrating isn't it? And now Xmas holidays.. My agent said they (immi) won't do any work for at least 3 weeks so I think this is the way it will stay till mid Jan
-
Don't know what happened there but Perth is 2 November RSMS !
-
How silly of me to expect parra to move forward.as usual the dates remain same.
Check this out
Parramatta Centre of Excellence (COE) ENS cases which were received on 06 June 2011.
Parramatta Centre of Excellence (COE) RSMS cases which were received on 25 July 2011
Melbourne Centre of Excellence (COE) ENS cases which were received on 23 June 2011.
Melbourne Centre of Excellence (COE) RSMS cases which were received on 1 August 2011
Melbourne is sooo slow! Moved 8 days in 4 wks!!!
way to go Perth!!!

Hi Katherina,
Hope you get some good news tomorro. We are being messed around big time by Vetassess so it looks like it wont be until Jan or even Feb before we are able to lodge...trying to put it out of my mind now and enjoy Christmas..
Hi Ywool, I am sorry about your troubles with the Vetassess, hopefully you will lodge first thing in Jan. we went for the medicals on tue, it was ok just weight, height, eye sight, ears, feeling tummy area , no questions asked.. Plus bloods and X-ray for adults
It took 2 hours all together, biggest problem was the parking!!! Impossible :-(
My 3 year old asked in front of the doctor if he is Santa , I said no he is not he is a dr why? Because he has big tummy like Santa...:-))
Fingers crossed Melbourne moved to August!!

Sorry about this ,still new to this ,,we are off shore in Bolton,it's a 119 ,and it was a completed app when lodged ,in nov
Does that mean it was a drc...
Hi cheznandi only migration agent can lodge your application DRC and not all of them do it.

Right, does anyone think it's worth phoning DIAC directly as I have a number for the case officer??
The situation is this.....
Our tenancy here runs out in a few weeks, the landlady wants to know if we will be renewing or if she needs to look for new tenants, I don't want to sign for another 6 month lease.
DP is now completely out of work, so no funds coming in but there's a job waiting for us in Australia.
We have had a bloody awful year in this country, my 2 eldest daughters are not my partners children, and we found out that they had been subjected to abuse from their paternal grandfather on their fortnightly access visits to their dad. This has resulted in a criminal prosecution for their grandfather, and us fighting their father through the courts to the right to remove them permanently from the UK.
We were led to believe by the migration agent that we should have had a decision by september/october time and should be well on our way by now.
Our family out there have invited us for Christmas, and we're desperate to go, the girls are desperate for a fresh start and we want to see the new year in watching the fireworks over Sydney harbour, but the RSMS subclass 119 can only be granted whilst offshore so time is well and truly running out for us to get flights etc!!
What would anyone else do, and the migration agent is proving ever elusive......
Poor you pinkcera you sound so stressed !!
If I was you I would call the CO and give him the full story! At least you would know where you stand and if there is a problem you can deal with it!!
But that's just my opinion. What did the agent say about this? Would they not call them on your behalf?
Really hope you get there for Xmas!!
Take care
Katerina

Hi guys, we did our medicals yesterday but that's all the news I have.. Still waiting for CO !! Is it Monday they will update the info about processing times? Thanks
-
Hi pinkcera, in the acknowledgment letter it says that when you are allocated CO he will contact you within 3 days. So I would think your CO would contact your agent! Did you ask your MA if they know that you have a CO?
hopefully you get your positive answer soon
-
Did you apply by DRC application? i applied as non DRC application on 2nd September 857 at Townsville, still no sign of CO, at Parramatta now they just assess application received on 11th July, so we have a long way to go,hihi
Hi our app was lodged 12/9 at the Melbourne office , unfortunately non DRC :-(, we have no CO yet don't think anything will happen till Jan / February .At least you are already there, we are bloody freezing over here in Irl:mad:
-
Just received an email from Parramatta - sad news! Our application is a non DRC, despite a colleagues exact same application approved in 5 weeks! That means if they are looking at 11 July RSMS applications now we would be allocated a CO by mid April. This is hopelessly late for my son's university starting beginning of Feb as a domestic engineering student in the city we stay.
Hi only some MA can lodge DRC, but you could write a Letter to the DIAC explaining the urgency of your situation ( your son's UNI) and they might be able to process your application faster or advice you if you can get some other visa until your RSMs is granted. Don't forget to enclose some proof that he is starting in feb.
Our agent wrote a priority letter to the DIAC on our behalf and they moved our application to the "urgent pile" . This was 2 wks ago and so far no CO so I don't know if it's going to help it might be worth the try!

Wow,
Hi Dunken this is a great news for all of us here, thanks for that, and by the way where did you find this news, thanks
Hi just send blank. Email to vic.pse@immi.gov.au and you will get automatic response with updates for all 3 centres, scroll down the email, it's the last info there
-
Got case officer finally last Monday the 21st, all approved bar a query with my medical! Typical!! MA said only for this we would have got the visa on the same day! Just got to wait now with crossed finigers. Applied for 119 on the 19th July
Hi that's great news! Fingers crossed it wont be too long. Did you apply through Melbourne?
-
Sorry to hijack but as you are all quite a way down the line, have any of you had any experience with an exceptional appointment when applying for an RSMS visa?
Thanks
Boardie
Hi boardie,
I am not sure what do you mean exactly , maybe you be better off asking a good agent? If you describe you situation they should be able to give you an advice for free or a small fee
-
Hi ywool, when we lodged our app we got a letter from DIAC saying that it takes 5-7 months for the visa to be processed ! ( low risk countries) That's from the date of lodgement and non DRC. Your application has to go through Melbourne office ( office for QLD) and Melbourne is currently processing end of JULY..!!
What I've seen on this forum MOST people get CO in 5-6 months( non DRC)
And now Xmas is in the way so I would say add another 3-4 weeks.
But you never know , you might be lucky :-)
-
Hi pinkcera , that's great news!!! Hope it's going to be quick
-
woow congratulations Chris&Mel and bghkh that was super fast:notworthy:

Hi Ywool, sorry it`s taken me so long to reply,we were away and I can`t post from my iPhone..anyway we (myself and husband) were born in the Czech rep but we have been living in Dublin for over 10 years-that`s the reason for IELTS.Your situation sounds so difficult and stressful!!I can`t even imagen what you must be going through esp with your 2 daughters staying behind, but I am sure it will all come together!I am so use to being just the 2 of us (4 now) .my husband has a good job over here and I am at home with our 2 boys (1.5 and 3.5) he is transfering within the company so it should be quite easy for him.but Iam still very nervous and anxious and this waiting for the visa is killing me !!I have shipping organised, estate agent is ready to rent out our house..so hopefully it won`t be too long.
what part of Ireland are you from?any chance your agent is Sandy Coates?she is quite famous in Dublin:biggrin:
I am not sure if our application was DRC I must ask her
hope everyone is well
-
Welcome:spinny:
Did u apply DRC or nonDRC.itseems we applied on the same date
Hi and thanks for the welcome:biggrin:
we have an agent so I have no idea what DRC is??sorry:cry:
-
hi ywool, we are immigrating from IRL to Gladstone too:wink:
we lodged our RSMS on the 08/09 and are waiting....
are you planning to live in Gladstone?my husbands employer recommended Tannum sands
we really thought we will be there by Xmas but my DH failed IELTS the first time and had to wait almost 2 months for second date..so hoping to be there by feb
our agent asked my husband`s employer for a letter of priority so will see if that makes any differnce
