  1. I agree with you saffan zimbo we are looking at perth and the rentals are much higher cost than here in uk. We are trying to work out our cost of living & without my husband getting a like for like salary we will be worse than here in uk. That would also be with me working full time with a higher salary than I get here & I'm only part time here too! It's the childcare costs over in perth are higher too. We have had to take a long hard look at what we want more, less money & better lifestyle (outdoor living & sunshine) or staying here in uk. It's really tough!
  2. Thanks Lucia we have looked at it and it looks great but we are not Catholics so not sure if we will be given less priority. I will contact the admin team to ask.
  3. Hi and thank you to all who replied. Bob1 thanks for your figures on school results that was really helpful as our 15 year old is an a* pupil here in uk so it's vital we find a school that will continue to encourage her abilities. She is also musical & loves drama so churchlands looks great for that however the rental house prices are too high for us! We looked at mercy too thanks Lucia & we are seriously considering that as an option for all our children. We just not sure what the catchment area would be as we do not wish to live in koondoola. Im sure it will all work out in the end!
  4. Hi can anyone help? We are going to Perth in April/may this year on a 457 visa and are trying to work out what area to settle in. We have children age 3, 8 & 15 so we need good primary & high school. We think we will need public school not private. Does anyone know what Warwick senior high is like? Or any others in that area? Thanks
  5. Hi folks We are moving to Perth in January 2013 too! Flights booked for 22nd January. Still in excited mode at moment but have odd day of pure panic :arghh::arghh: We are going to be staying in the Kinross area which is near Joondalup and would also love to meet people. We have three children, Beth 15, Mia 8 and Harry 3. Good luck to each of you and hope to maybe arrange a meeting when we arrive  Yvonne & Phil
