  1. i hope you get your refund and another chance to apply, have you considered getting a state sponsorship? or claim partners skills, each will give u extra 5 points
  2. for those who got points discrepancy, did you receive a valid visa application email shortly after you lodged your visa? if yes, how did DIAC say the application is valid then CO says another thing? just wondering [h=1][/h]
  3. as advised by CO!!! you're they only one who can request to withdraw your visa application. my CO suggested that to me and I did because it is the only what i have a chance to get a refund. along with my withdrawal request i dropped a note that I would like to apply for a refund and explained why you should talk with your CO about that
  4. exactly, what makes it worse is that my bachelor was assessed but at the time of my skills assessment application only highest degree was mentioned on the result letter.
  5. Hello everyone, Just found this post. Kj's problem is just like mine only in some details: I have both a bachelor and a master degrees both in computing, and both were assessed as comparable to Australian equivalent. But only the highest degree which is master in my case was mentioned on my skills assessment result letter. Now, here how it went with EOI: - my points discrepancy was because EOI system grants 15 points for qualification when choosing master degree. But, apparently because only masters appear on my skills assessment result letter I should have chosen "Other qualification or award recognised by Assessing Authority" which of course makes no sense. And the only place this was mentioned is on a note on skillselect website that was posted long after my EOI submission (link: http://skillselect.govspace.gov.au/2012/11/30/points-test-factors-%E2%80%93-are-your-claims-correct/) - Kj was unfortunate with that EOI trap, but was lucky enough that CO pointed out this discrepancy once assigned. My case officer asked me to withdraw application when it was nearing finalization (4 months after application visa lodgement) The email they send to notify you with the points discrepancy is terrifying. it will give you the feeling that you have one of two options: -withdraw application immediately, or face refusal and lose any chance of a refund. I choose to withdraw my application after communicating with AnnetteV and hear her happy ending. so far I have contacted my sponsoring state (NSW) explain the situation and they were kind enough to send me a new invitation. Now, just waiting for the refund to lodge new visa application.
  6. So any new grants or CO allocations today?
  7. I guess support officer is who puts everything together for the convince of the Case Officer. The support officer also is the one who sent me the health examinations list,
  8. Does the grant letter say anything about the next step? i.e. should we send our passports to the nearest Australian Embassy so they can stick the visa label on? or it is an electronic visa and we are ready to fly? what about airline companies? I guess they need to physically check a valid visa on our passports in order to let us board their jets!
  9. Did he ask you for any new documents? or just to let you know who your case officer is?
  10. WoW that was quick, would you mind sharing your timeline with us? why did your CO contact you? this is exciting I hope everybody gets their COs and grants soon
