  1. Hi, we are currently looking for a rental. We live in Kingsley at present and our budget is $600, any where a little north or south of kingsley is fine. We are a married couple in our late 30's, my husband is a FIFO and I'm a student at university. We are very respectful, so if anyone knows of a property or a break lease please let us know. Thanks
  2. Thanks for reply Melbourne, we are thinking of going for a matador BBQ but not quite sure.
  3. Hi All Want to purchase a BBQ, could anyone advise which is the best, our budget is $700 max. Thanks in advance
  4. Hi Just wondering what company you used for your car insurance, we have one car with SGIO, just shopping around now for second car. Thanks in advance
  5. Hi I shipped all my husbands tools over from Ireland but forgot to bring a transformer, they need a 220v - 210v transformer to work as they use 240v here what is my best option. Thanks in advance
  6. I'm flying with them on the 4th July, my Husband is over there, so I will be travelling alone.
  7. Hi The shipping company told me to make sure it is completly moisture free, so Im going to turn mine off a coupe of days before shipping, they also told me to put coffee granules in a socking, apparently it soaks up any moisture plus it smell nice. JoandJon - Does your fridge work ok out there, as I have hear mixed reports.
  8. Thanks for the reply Fleabo, so obviously they didn't say anything, its the only item I'm worried about. I wonder if I declare it do I automatically have to pay duty, maybe I will just chance it.
  9. Lets get this tread going! I have decided to go with Crown, packers arriving the 28th June. I got reps to come out from Careline & Crown and both gave me the same cubic feet that I required, so I used that to get my other quotes, get as many quotes as possibe, then decide which company you want and start beating down the price, this is not as difficult as you think as they are all very eager for busy. Insurance is working out at around 3% so E15,000 = E450 thats if you go with the Shippers Insurance, has anyone experience with going with independant insurance company???
  10. Hi All I just bought a new Dyson Hoover for E400 should I declare it, or just chance it, container leaving in a few weeks, it would be hard to dirty a hoover and then try and clean it perfectly, would I get away with saying I have it 18months & never used it ???
  11. Hi Just wondering I bought a new Dyson Hoover, will I have to pay duty on it if I declare it as new & how much are we talking $$$ ??? Thanks in advance
  12. Hi Braidwood I tried this already and no one seemed to join me but its worth another try, I will let you all know how I get on shippers coming on the 28th June, so I'm crazy busy & stressed at the moment.
  13. I think all the above movers are fairly reputable, I just done loads of research on various forums and went with my gut !! Are any of you getting independant insurance or just going with the shippers insurance?? Karlom, Crown told me no longer than 14 weeks, it suits me as my Husband is working in the mines and is sharing a house in Perth so I shall be staying with his housemates for the company, instead of in a house on my own for the first few weeks by the time the container arrives I will feel more confident with my surrounding to go it alone. Great value by An Post. I think we have Hijacked this thread, Postage from Ireland not shipping, SORRY.
  14. Hi Cork Im off in July also, my Husband is already there. I was in the same boat as you Careline v Crown, I choose Crown mainly because its Crown the other side not a agent, plus I found them extremely helpful. Best of luck in your decision and move.
  15. Hi All I have gotten 2 quotes so far; 650 cubic feet, groupage, including door to door service and packing. Careline E4280 (excluding AQIS Charge $440) Crown E4309 (including AQIS charge $440) I'm awaiting quote form Natross, we are going to go groupage as it will save us a few $$$ plus we are in no hurry with our furniture, we may even have to consider storage the other side, which both companies may offer us a months free. Does this sound reasonable or shall I seek a few more quotes. Also insurance who did you use??? Would love if you would share your experiences with me and any advise would be warmly welcome.
