  1. Thanks for thinking of me, we are on the verge of lodging our state sponsorship application.....................................so more waiting!!

Great Dinkydoo  So glad you putting up a fight, on wards and upwards :happy_face_outlaw_s

  2. OK Guys, thanks for all the words of encouragement, unfortunately I cant update Tania's first post so have started a new thread:

    http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/134583-new-cat-4-july-1st-2011-part-2-a.html#post1274146

If we could start using that for updates, that would be great....

An idea, if the guys who have already got their visas want to carry on using this thread, once anyone has their visa they can start using this thread to keep everyone up to date on house sales, flights etc....

    All the best

    Bharat

Maybe Tania could possible change the title of this thread a little to avoid confusing newbie's?? Post Visa cat4er's? Just a thought, maybe others can suggest also

  3. The blood tests, x-rays and medicals are showing as received on our document checklist so I assume our doc in the UK has done everything he needs to? Everything else is met.

But your blood tests need to be tested, it takes more than a day. If you ring the clinic they will tell you.also usually x-rays too, The on line status is to acknowledge that they have been done as the clinic will inform DIAC of this, as i said it usually take a week for meds to get signed of by your clinic and all the results to be uploaded. You can ask the clinic if your not sure.

I had my meds at the Bridge clinic, they told me that the bloods take about 5 days to come back from being tested, then the bloods along with the X-rays results go to the Dr who did the medicals for signing off before the final uploading by the Clinic, think most people waited 5-7 days for this.

  4. We drove to Manchester yesterday to the Bridgewater clinic for our medicals. We saw Dr Smith and he was great with the kids and we all checked out ok. He said it would probably be Thursday before everything showed up online but I have just checked and all medicals are showing as received so I'm pleased at how quick and efficient the clinic were. I assume the next step is they will be looked at by a doctor in Aus and then will change to finalised? Can I enter the waiting room yet?

I think you will have to wait for the clinic to look at the x-Rays and to get the blood tests back and then checked over/signed off by the Dr who did your medicals before DIAC finalize them, usually take a week for this to happen.

After your medicals are finalized and everything else on the check list is 'MET'....then you can take a comfy seat in the waiting room. :cute: good luck:hug:

  5. Well done Bpremji,

This thread is a life line for so many Tania started a fab thing here and it has been kept up to date brilliantly.

I know you will do an excellent job in keeping the thread running. I am glad that someone has taken it over.

I didn’t cos I’ve got my visa and will soon be moving as well.

Maybe we could do a cat 4 the sequel or cat 4 where are you now. Just so those that have visas and are moving can discuss and let people know how you’re getting on. We could keep it on the cat 4 thread but there is nothing worse than Yerr lets meet up for a bbq on the beach under the scorching sun, when you are sat in the front window of your house franticly checking the visa application while watching the rain batter the for sale board.

    Just a thought.

I was thinking the same, we need another chat room as don't want to rub salt in any wounds. :jimlad:

I would like to discuss 'how hot it was today' , 'How big the spider i saw on my bed when i woke up this morning'....or more importantly "how many shrimps i can fit on my BBQ" :cute::biglaugh:

  6. Tania can you please turn us purple? We got our Christmas present today!

According to our agent, our CO was new and probably inexperienced. The team leader has picked up our case today and made everything in order.

    :wubclub:CONGRATULATIONS :xmas12:

  7. Tania,

Thanks for all the hard work you put in keeping this thread going, i wouldn't know what i would have done without you all. You deserve a break and to move on to your new life down under  Good luck with your house sale and keep in touch x x

  8. Tell me about it I haven't slept for 2 nights  any way I finally got a bit of good news that this person that was interested then was playing hard to get is now been in contact to say he just has to go to the bank to get his mortgage offer from the bank then he can proceed, we have also had a call from my agent to say that he had someone wanting to view next week but as we have an offer he now wants to come tomorrow, yeah I am really stressed ahhh

That's great news Tania, you'll be on your way in no time

  9. And looks like they want to move in 01 March:wacko:

Oh my word! Everything is happening so quickly:chatterbox:

Congrats, i know it must be fast for you but it beats hanging around, waiting is sooooooooooo annoying. Good luck and hope it goes through smoothly

  10. Hi Eng! How do you know what things need to be sterilized? Is there any link u can share? I am also wondering if we can take our wooden furniture. Pleasee! Any help will be thanked ;)

    Hi Lori,

I have not done enough research on the subject of shipping to correctly advise you, but there is a thread on the forum dedicated to 'shipping and Removals', try looking there or else what i did is Google ' shipping furniture to Australia. Also try doing a search on this forum for advice on this subject, that is what i did. Sorry i can't help further but i don't want to give you wrong advice.

But i do know that any outdoor equipment (bikes, garden furniture/tools) needs to be cleaned to the point that they look new, without even a trace of dirt/dust/mud etc, and once cleaned cover in Jays fluid.

  11. Lol just to make you feel a bit better unless your taking a full container then we have been quoted £150 for the first bike and £75 for each after that. So we are only taking 2 now ans not 4.

Husband is a cycling fanatic, has mountain bike, 2 race bikes and time trial bike..... plus mine n now Daughters...££££££££££, best we fill a whole container then

  12. I want to book flights, and shipping, and sell my car, and my house, and say good bye. Bored now:ssign2:What is all this waitin about it's pants. I got my visa and I wanna go.

But we have some new smilies.

Lol on a random note we was only getting the kids small things for christmas this year, things that would fit in a suitcase, so why has a box turned up that is half the size of a snooker table. :goofy:

Still bored, even the washing up is done. larr larr larr.

i know exactly how you feel as i am feeling the same, took the words out of my mouth :chatterbox: BORED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! House...car...waiting to go.

Same here about only small presents this year so we don't have to ship even more toys over, but hubby went and bought daughter a new bike  so that's one more thing to sterilize to get through customs along side hubby's other 4!!! bikes :happy_face_cowboy_w

  13. H, it was suggested I add myself to this thread following a post about the latest developments in our application so here is the info :-) Although I think we are actually category 3 as Software Engineer was still on SOL after 1/7/2011 so maybe I should be posting elsewhere?

    Name: Aileen156

Date of Visa application: 23 May 2011

    Nationality: British

    High/Low Risk: LR

    Trade/profession: Software Engineer

    Visa type: 175

    Onshore/offshore: Offshore

Pre-14th July 2010 Category (If applicable):

    Post-14th July Category:

Medicals submitted: 28/11/2011 - but referred

    Police check submitted: Request submitted

    Date CO assigned: 22/11/2011 - team 2

Date of employment verification (If applicable):

    Date visa granted:

    Thanks

    Aileen

:ssign18: Hi, you are a 175 visa applicant, that makes you in category 4, this is a cat 4 thread so your in the right place

  14. Hi

Apologies but I am struggling to understand this thread due to the volume of information (and acronyms!) and the number of responses.

My husband and I are applying for a 175 Visa but we are at the very early sdtages trying to get a practical assessment booked which is taking months through Vetasses!. Anyone else have problems at this stage as it just seems so slow!!!

:ssign18: Sorry i can't help you with your question, however you may have better luck posting your question on the main forum so other Vetesse applicants can respond, Or do a search on this subject, i expect there is a thread on this already.

    I wish you luck.

  15. Little help over here please.....

e-mail/ring your CO and tell them about your wife, it is a very common situation and CO will put you both on hold until the birth. The 2011 changes won't effect you, only those who apply after July 2012.

There are many threads on this subject, try doing a search.

  16. Hi Guys,

Just got this as an update:

24/11/2011 Application received - processing commenced

    24/11/2011 Application fee received

    09/12/2011 Application being processed further

However in the Document Checklist it still says "Required" for all the documents.

Any experience on this guys ??

    Appreciate your help.

    Regards,

Don't worry, it could be the simple fact that CO didn't have time to check your documents yet, wait till after weekend next week to see if anything changes, i have heard of many applicants where the CO never changed the status from 'required' to 'MET' even after Visa grant, but rest assured, If CO wants anything further from you, you'll be the first to know.

    Good Luck:hug:

  17. Thats fantastic news,:jiggy:Validation trip sorted.

if you get on you have to make some random comments that would mean something to us watchers,

Ok that's a deal, we will have to sort a PIO cat4 code word

  18. So i had a surprise phone call today from the 'Wanted Down Under crew' :swoon: I replied to the advert on PIO thread last week. Was caught on the hop so think i :chatterbox: rambled on a bit:rolleyes:, she was very nice though and has asked if she could also interview OH!! He's going to ring her when he get's in from work:laugh: if we pass this stage, it's a filmed face to face interview:eek:

Would be great to get a trial run before we go for good, think it would put our minds at rest a bit. I am quite excited i must say :jiggy: fingers crossed they don't think i'm :goofy::dull::witch-mad:

  19. Thank you - we thought that might be the case. We have let other halfs boss know and he's awaiting contact! Ohh exciting times!

    Cheers

Just to warn you, DIAC didn't contact hubby,s boss who gave the reference, they rang security and asked for the person who deals with XYZ..... was a big shock to us as nearly got caught short, not that we had anything to hide, but the person they contacted didn't know anything about us emergrating or much about hubby's details!! so beware:policeman:
