  1. Very interested in the responses to this thread myself, as I'm a cnc machinist. Visited perth in September 2012 and spent two weeks driving around engineering companies asking about jobs, but all told me they were quiet.
  2. Hi, having researched oz for many years and we are still not there I know your frustration. A married 35yr old with two kids under 8. I am a cnc programmer/setter/operator and we have just been given a 176 visa. I have recently come back from a long holiday to Perth were I was job hunting, however I had no luck... And I have a 5years apprenticeship, city and guilds qualifications, 18years experience of cnc and managerial skills as have been running own successful company for 7 years.. The good news is that if your wife is a hairdresser she will be able to pick up work easily!!!! the best advise I can give you is to speak to an agent, we used amber Collins and they do all the sorting out for you in regard to which visa is the best for your family.
  3. Hi Have just spent three weeks in Perth job hunting after getting my 176 visa as a cnc machinist a few months back. The place is beautiful and the people were very friendly, but I was unable to find a job visited about twenty companies and all told me the same work was slow at the moment so no vacancies. any information would also be gratefully received as my family are desperate to get there. Thank you
  4. We are doing our reccie there in May, as hoping to move out at the end of the year. Its good to see a local person on here to, Heath Hayes family of 4.
  5. Does anybody know of some holiday rentals around perth for two weeks in may, for a family of four. thanks

    Emirates booked

Have just booked flights for family of 4 from manchester to perth on 30th April for two weeks to validate visa. Total cost £2550.00 i know this isnt the best time of year for weather but the price is good.
  7. Thank you for response, will forward cv. Best Regards Marc
  8. Have looked on this site nightly for months and have decided to post a thread. Visa has been granted and was wondering what the job situation for cnc machinists was like in perth and what kind of wage is being paid. Flights are booked for early next year to validate visa's as i am a bit worried about work out there and the exchange rate at the moment as i want a better future for my family. Thankyou
