  1. pass us your email address and ill get you added to the distribution list that goes out each week
  2. I play by Milsons Point on a Thursday lunchtime... they'll be looking for more players soon as a lot are moving to George St (office relocation) so wont be able to make it.
  3. The clcok house (i think thats the name) is a pretty good bar - great happy hour prices!
  4. I went on Good Friday and it wasnt too bad until I tried to get the showbags as the queue has horrid but only had to queue for 5 minutes and then got in. It was quite a nice day out - cost $30 to get in and then spent a fair bit of money and drinks but I knew that beforehand. Think I'll go back in a few years to see some of the 'shows' rather than just wandering around the stalls all day. There was a game at the ANZ at the same time but we headed there in the morning and then left about 3 when all the fans were arriving.
  5. Hey - Im doing a similar search but for late/end of August. I've found united airlines are pretty cheap.. about $1,800 to go via LAX but you are looking at two 12 hour flights.. which doesnt overly faze me. I'm holding out for some sale prices - but dont expect much.
  6. hey - ive just arrived too. its a great city - im just disappointed that i didnt submit my visa sooner to leave the UK and its impending doom! looking forward to see what Sydney puts on for chinnese new year - from the set-up so far there should be enough to do to keep us entertained for a day.
  7. We moved in January and used Anglo Pacific - they seem ok so far (still awating the items to come through customs). I was a little shocked at the cost but we did ship a fair bit over. Now I just need to try and change the plug on some of the electrical items that we brought over. Balmoral is a nice area with lovely views of the city. Only my 4th week and loving it - sure you'll settle in just fine! Good luck with it all
  8. The best airline that I've flown with was Korean Air - the food was by far the best (and freshest) I've eaten but there is a long stop over in Seoul so we just decided to spend a few days there... Not on the list would be Cathay Pacific.
  9. Welcome - I arrived around mid-January and slowly finding my feet as well. The social aspect is the next big mountain Im going to climb - although I'm busy currently trying to find and buy accomodation in our new apartment. We are currently living in Lilyfield and its really nice, pretty, quiet, everything we could want... but currently lodgers with my partners sister.. We are moving to Woolstonecraft in mid-March and from first views that is definately more us. I read that you're working at Ryde hospital - my partner (who is Aussie) works currently in Royal Rehabilitation centre in Ryde as a social worker.. not sure if you have any dealings with them.
