  1. We were with talk talk and for an extra 2.00 quid a month could call Australian landlines for free and mobiles for half price !
  2. My OH works out at the mines we originally lived in Mackay but now live in Airlie Beach as we prefer it up here. He is not a tradie just a normal underground miner based currently at Broadmeadows on a 4-4 5-5 shift pattern .If you need me to ask him anything let me know , By the way his gross wage is about $130000 pa and we managed on just his wage quite confortably x
  3. That doesn't sound too good as you lodged in October !
  4. Have you been Cairns before? We went for a Holiday and loved it .About a 7 hour drive from us at Airlie beach.Good Luck with everything!
  5. Yay our visa has been granted today. Lodged RSMS onshore 857 on 5/11/10 at Paramatta Nomination and Visa granted 01/04/11
  6. For the UK that's really bad.Over here we had to travel 3 hrs to Townsville as the doctor who did them in Mackay was on Holiday and we needed to lodge before 457 ran out.Good luck anyhow whereabouts you moving too,if you get your visa?
  7. When we had our x-rays and kids medicals for the 457 visa we had ours done at a private hospital in Hull ! Thought i would post this link for you . Private Australian visa medical service in Hull, Private Treatment or Surgery, East Yorkshire Spire Hospital.
  8. Congratulations on finally hearing some news hope you have a decision real quick
  9. We have lodged onshore and have a migration agent, who advised us to do ours.I think but i am not sure that the medicals last 12 months.I would not like to tell you to do your medicals as they are not cheap and i wouldn't like you to have to pay out twice. You could always call DIAC and ask them?
  10. My visa is an RSMS 857 from an ETA country it was Lodged onshore at Parramatta. If you are from a none ETA country then processing is about 7 months from date of lodgement, whereas ETA countries are approx 5 months as KD79UK lodged his 12th August and it was granted in January approx 5 months (onshore visa from ETA country)if you lodged from a none ETA country then it will be 23rd April when you meet your 7 month deadline. As we are from an ETA country then our deadline is 5th April ,5 months from lodgement. And maybe onshore are quicker than offshore? Regards
  11. I received this e-mail this afternoon..... Please bare with us as we are currently processing month of October 2010 application and we are still allocating October 2010 application to case officers accordingly. Regards, rowena Communications Team Permanent Employer Sponsored Entry (NSW, QLD, ACT) Parramatta Centre of Excellence
  12. The two that have been granted within or around the 5 months are both 857 onshore apps. Beedaman If I were you I would get my medicals done now and send them off they last 12 months going by the Info on the forum. We front loaded everything as per advice of Migrant agent and we had our Medicals done in October last year now.Maybe onshore get processed fatser. Good luck hope we all here something soon`
  13. I rang yesterday and spoke to client services he checked my claim on the PC and said it said processing.I asked how long they were taking and he told me 5-7 months.I replied that we will be waiting up to another 6-8 weeks then and he could of said yes,but instead said "it's 5 months for an ETA country and yours is on target to be processed within that timeframe" Sounds promising 13 days to meet the 5 month mark fingers crossed !
  14. I even asked them on there Facebook page (Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship - Government Organization | Facebook) but got bog standard reply. If you call them please post their reply
  15. Well still heard nothing our 5 months is up on the 5th April in 13 days.Just spoke to our MA he has not heard anything either.Would expect DIAC to amend the service standards if they can't stick to them
  16. Congratulations on your PR. I assume this was offshore 119? Where did you lodge at?
  17. See can,t keep off the bloody thing...our 5 months is up on the 5th April so we are not even over the timeline yet...I just want it it now...and hoping that by some MIRACLE we will get it early..lol.I think that because they obviously do not get in touch from the e-mail regarding lodgement you seem to think that until they get in touch nothing is happening. But as you say you heard nothing till grant so here's to the 5th of April and wishful thinking x
  18. It has become some sort of OCD ,I cannot stop myself from checking e-mails everyday and looking on these forums for some news on timelines...it's driving me nuts.Gonna stop right now and only check once a week (well i'll try )
  19. Yes I would of felt bad too,NOT lol,so they should be working over-time if they have a lot of work.... Congratulations on the Visa x Am I right in thinking that you lodged the application and heard nothing at all until you got the e-mail granting the visa! Or did they contact you before granting?
  20. I e-mailed DIAC at Paramatta to ask how long RSMS visa's are taking to process, this is the response I got , not much info really ! Due to the demand driven nature of the program, the Permanent Employer Sponsored Entry network is continuing to receive large numbers of employer nominations and visa applications. This means that some applications being received through the NSW Centre may take some time to be allocated to a case officer for assessment. Please be assured that all issues surrounding processing backlogs have been appropriately escalated. You will be contacted by a case officer within 2 working days of the employer nomination and/or visa application being allocated, with either an outcome for decision-ready cases or a request for additional information or documents. Until a case is allocated, we are unable to provide you with advice regarding processing timeframes. We apologise for all inconveniences caused as a result of the delays in allocation. Please note that the published service standards for ENS/RSMS cases is 5 months (ETA countries) and 7 months (non-ETA countries). Timeframes for processing an application vary from one case to another, depending on the individual circumstances of each applicant . The NSW PESE team are committed to providing you with an decision on your application within the published service standards.
  21. I posted a query on Industry migration on facebook regards RSMS 857 from ETA country and this is what they said: Industry Migration ‎@ Jill: Processing in many cases is exceeding the processing guidelines. However in most cases - it's standard practice for a case to go unallocated for up to 6 months and the first point of contact may be a decision and/or a request for further info (depending on whether you're case was decision ready or not) So looks like we will not hear anything until they at least 6 months then hopefully that it is granted...Good luck all keep posting your timelines it makes it easier to try to guess when I will hear anything about Our visa!
  22. Congratulations on your time-scale i estimate we should get a CO by 15th of March and have Visa by 15th April ..but that is wishful thinking on my part x
  23. RSMS 857 (onshore) Visa lodged at Paramatta 05/11/2010 from ETA country. All docs sent with application meds/police checks ect.We have a migration agent .Think app was lodged decision ready .Heard nothing waiting time 120 days Or 4 calendar months tomorrow Or 17 weeks and 1 day... God it's horrible waiting. They should update their website and advise what month they are currently processing ,as it just becomes obsessive even if you try not too let it lol
