    We were with talk talk and for an extra 2.00 quid a month could call Australian landlines for free and mobiles for half price !

    My OH works out at the mines we originally lived in Mackay but now live in Airlie Beach as we prefer it up here. He is not a tradie just a normal underground miner based currently at Broadmeadows on a 4-4 5-5 shift pattern .If you need me to ask him anything let me know , By the way his gross wage is about $130000 pa and we managed on just his wage quite confortably x

    We had 13 hours in singapore airport so we booked into the transit hotel and had 6 hours in there ,got showered changed a cup of coffee and left feeling refreshed well worth it and not expensive .

    I even watch sky anytime + live TV sport , download sky movies.My sister gave me her login details, has she has no need to watch Sky on her laptop, she has the full package.And so as long as I am signed into my proxy server I watch all channels, channel 4 I have to watch via you tube channel4od but great ,I even have a US Proxy but don,t tend to watch that very often.

    Thanks we have all ready thought of that ,but that would mean re-mortgaging our current home and we have a very favourable mortgage at the moment,also the transfer over would mean that we would lose thousands due to the strength of the Aussie dollar.

    I was looking at buying an existing business over in Australia.I have been to the westpac bank today and because the only collateral that we have is our UK property they will not be able to loan us the money .My partner works full time and earns around $100000 per year ,we were willing to put $15000 down and get a loan for the rest.Is there any other way around this . Regards

    I have a 19 year old we live in Airlie Beach...at least they have each other to hang out with , my son would love to go out but has no one to go with..we will BE ABOUT A 3 hour drive away if ya lads r ever down here pm me so my son can go out with them for a bevvy x

    The only public school would be Proserpine state high school (http://www.proserpnshs.eq.edu.au) It has a school bus service and my son went for a while and seems really good. Or if you wanted to pay a small fee Whitsunday Christian college (http://www.whitsunday.qld.edu.au) which is in Cannonvale.Costs are about about $2500 per year + per child. Where abouts are you moving from? Jill

    Have you been Cairns before? We went for a Holiday and loved it .About a 7 hour drive from us at Airlie beach.Good Luck with everything!

    Yay our visa has been granted today. Lodged RSMS onshore 857 on 5/11/10 at Paramatta Nomination and Visa granted 01/04/11

    For the UK that's really bad.Over here we had to travel 3 hrs to Townsville as the doctor who did them in Mackay was on Holiday and we needed to lodge before 457 ran out.Good luck anyhow whereabouts you moving too,if you get your visa?

    When we had our x-rays and kids medicals for the 457 visa we had ours done at a private hospital in Hull ! Thought i would post this link for you . Private Australian visa medical service in Hull, Private Treatment or Surgery, East Yorkshire Spire Hospital.
