Hi guys I just though for anyone who might be interested in this thread that it is possible to take advantage of the 40KG allowance even if you have previously validated your visa. An organisation called IOM (reference to them is made on your visa grant notice email) are able to act as travel agents and as a result have an agreement mostly with Emirates to grant a 40KG allowance for all travellers whether travelling on a validated visa or not. The flight ticket price for one-way travel was almost impossible to beat as well and they will be happy to give you the itinerary you want too, so a really good deal all round I would say.

It has extras fitted such as Leather interior, Bi-Xenons and I wondered if it was worth the hassle of going through the exporting process. If it is would it be possible to ask for a ball park figure for costs.
