just be very carefull we shipped all over stuff over with pickfords on total cover. when we got our stuff the tv was not working went to make a claim told it was not covered as needed to take out mechanical & electrical derangement on top of the total cover so all I can say is read the very small print.

if you have bills to the same address they don't all have to be joint bills

yes i would definately use money corp they are fantastic and no charge so easy to do.

im trying not to think about it don't need the extra stress lol

i also went back to the UK after living in oz for sometime and then decided to go back to oz again been back a year now and im off again but this time for good its like they say the grass is always greener on the other side

i hope you don't become a ping pong pom like us.

we used sheena at flexicover going one way from UK to oz they do single trip i know alot of them dont do it.it cost us 43 pound for a couple we are going to see if we can use them going back fingers crossed they do

So how come you guys are moving back ?

we are going back because we have had trouble finding permanent jobs

everything is seems to be on call casual which is no good for us as we want to get a mortgage,plus we are also finding it very expensive over here. u can only live on ur saving for so long before you have to make the decision

if your not sure e mail customs that's what we did for the icing flowers off the top of my mums 80th birthday cake

hi guys just wanted to know how and if i can get my pr visa label changed before i leave

im going back to the UK end of march this year and my 5 year visa runs out in the September can i get a new 5 year visa before i leave and if yes how and where do i get it from.

hi all i arrived in Australia last march and have only worked for three months my question is do i need to do a tax return

is there a certain amount you have to earn before you need to put one in

and can i do the return before the end of the year as i will be going back to UK beginning of April

just to let you know if you shipped your belonging from the UK to oz and want to take them back then you have to wait 12 months or you have to pay duty on them when they go back into the UK we just found this out as we wanted to go back and now have to stay a bit longer which is a pain.

i used pickfords they are good it cost me £100 month to store with them in the UK.

hi we arrived here in march and have the same problem

I could only get casual work afternoons so was working 2pm till 11pm so we hardly seen each other

my partner got a job doing days but it minimum wage which is not enough to live on over here and to top it all off we are back to square one as the place I was working has closed down and shipped it all overseas and my partner has just been laid off just before Christmas,

we also keep getting very down and have said we will give it 12months if it not any better by then we will be going back to the uk.

you have to decided what best for you both and go with your gut feeling its usually right

I have decided to go back to the uk after living here for 12 month up to now I have only worked about 3 months and have only got about 600 dollars in a super fund will I be able to cash it in or not

Hiya, no news yet but will definitely post when it comes through - will no doubt be beyond excited!

Everything seems to be around 4 months at the mo, so hopefully will have news within the next couple of weeks.

Keeping everything crossed it's soon as am going quietly mad having so many things out of my control :wacko:

that average time at the moment seems to be just over 4 months, so just hang in there,we didnt contact our c/o and ours still came in on the 4 month mark, good luck with your application it shouldn't be 2 long 2 wait now ,

Well what do you know, just checked the inbox and the magical email arrived at 13:52 today...obviously my last post worked well as a cosmic ordering! Application was posted 14 June, so wait was almost 5 months to the day.

 

What a relief. Now for popping our cocker spaniel on a plane to Sydney on Tuesday and exchanging on the house before packing our bags for our 5 December departure!

OMG :jiggy::jiggy::jiggy:just got the email from george lombard to say my o/h has his 309 visa, we are over the moon right now. we are now having the champers we've had in the fridge since we put our appilcation in, thanks to everyone who has helped us on our journey to oz melbourne here we come,

(applied for 309 visa) applied 1st july c/o asigned 3rd july c/o was dp, meds and police checks put in 22nd july, visa granted 11/11/11 we will never forget this dated

we did all our documents as photocopies but you do need to get them certified as true copys our photographs we sent originals and they sent them back to us straight away.not sure on the bank savings but i know what you mean i also had to show my savings with me sponsoring my partner i think it so they know if you will have the funds to support your o/h when you get to oz but not sure on that one we are still waiting we put ours in on the 1st july 2011
