When we came on our 457 my oh company said the same to us that if we left we had to pay back visa's costs & relocation package, we had to sign a legal contract saying we would pay this back if we left within the 2 years we knew people who left before their 2 years & the co held back holiday pay & their last 2 weeks of money, as they were entitled to do this, am not sure that they were but they did. Totally agree with you, was so upset at leaving close friends & family at first we had reguarly contact with everyone, we have been here 3 years now, & if I don't make the effort I wouldn't be keeping in touch with everyone we left behind! Sad really I thought that these were my really true friends, it turns out that they are really jealous at what we did as a family! No-one thought we would have the bottle to up & leave. My BFF didn't speak to us for 2 & bit years having recently got back in contact his response was he was really hurt that we moved so far away & was really jealous at what we did. (his words). So have had to move on It hurts like mad, but have made the most wonderful friends here & feel very lucky to made so many great friends here in OZ.
