I am not sure how long it takes to get a sponsor, I don't think it takes long but once you have that you should be allocated a co straight away I hear it take around to months to grant.

So, not good news from our camp I'm afraid, no right to appeal the decision. So gutted......
Dont know where we go from here??? I dont want to give up on my dream just yet.............
Maybe state sponsorship???? will spend some time later looking into it but not really sure how it all works.................????????
Best start saving them pennies!!! if we do anything its going to have to been sooner rather than later...OH turns 45 next November and would like to get it before the July 2012 changes...

Tend to agree, didnt the recent release about getting Cat 5 application allocated say there were about 2000 applications since July 2011, and they were allocating approx 1000 week?

Omg.......devastating news to wake up to
we have been refused our visa!!!!
I am in tears and dont know what to do next.
Oh's work experience in oz was from jan 2007-may 2008,(which is over 12 months) however they are using the dates june 2007- june 2011 for the relevant 12 months experience. So his is 4 weeks short of the 12 months,
i am so upset that this has happened and would like some advice please, does anyone know who i can get some advice from....please please please hellp me.....
OMG I am so sorry :sad: to hear this news I would speak to an Agent, start a new thread maybe someone will have some good advice

Update from Pimb
My Brother was finally allocated a CO. After much begging and pleading with the agent to please follow it up!
Police Clearance check for South Africa take 6 weeks. On week 5 I called up to see if they were ready, to be told they have no record of his application. So it took him another week to sort himself out and get a new application sent off around the 21/11/2011. So that will only be finalised in about 6-8 weeks including postage time!!!
Medicals done!
So yes still in the processes but no visa as yet.
Thanks for your concern.
Will hopefully post with further news when PCC come back.

Tania, was this with express estate agents?? How have you found them to be??
we had a meeting with one of there local reps a few weeks ago and OH is keen to use them when we want to sell, they gave a good sales pitch, so I am interested in what you thought???
Yeah we like them, communication is good by email mainly unless they have a viewing or feedback for you then its a phone call and they send text to your phone to confirm viewings, find them very friendly and I like the different kind of approach they have yeah they are more expensive but if they do their job then I am happy and at the end of the day its down to you weather you except what offers come in :biggrin:

So we had our viewing on Saturday and my agent came back to me just over an hour after to say they would like to view again next Saturday, had a phone call today to say they would like to view this Tuesday night instead.

Although I also thought it was ok to post the case officers initials!? xxxI don't think intials would give anything away but for argument sake we could just not put anything in future if we are all ok with this.
