Hi can anyone recommend a reputable and reliable camper an hire company? My cousin wants to come for a month from Darwin to Perth - anyone know what the rough cost would be for the hire for a month, insurance etc, TIA

Hi My hubby & son are travelling to Spain for 3 weeks, They are Permanent Residents here in Oz, but still have British Passports. Can they travel under their British Passports or do they need any other type of visa to go to Spain then come back home here in Melbourne? Think I may be getting confused & worried over nothing, help?!! TIA

Well, after 2 and half years on a 475 we had our 887 granted today, 4 months after being submitted. We couldn't be happier, the wine is in full flow & very apt that it's Australia Day soon. Happy is an understatement, now we can look to buying a house & putting down roots :biggrin:

Land rates are based on both land value (Site Value) AND house (Capital Improved Value) multiplied by a rate in the dollar, on top of this some (not all) will add a Municipal Charge & Garbage charge. There is also the Fire Levy that will go on, standard £100 plus a rate in the dollar for the CIV amt. If its just a vacant block then there would be a rate in the dollar mulitiplier plus Fire Service Levy

<p>Hi everyone, firstly can I thank you all for some great advice & more importantly your words of support, I love this site! Can some one answer a question for me? When we arrive in Oz (adelaide) if my husband cannot find a job can we claim income, job seekers & rent benefits etc? Obviously not an ideal situation as he wants to work as a matter of urgency, however we have to expect the worse case scenario. Any help is greatly appreciated</p>

Hav ejust started the ball rolling with 176 State Sponsorship for SA, however not on the CSL or MODL list (building associate) so am I correct to think we may not get approval until 2012/13? Can anyone advise & help us? We are off there next April for a month.</p>
