  1. Hi i have a friend in sydney currently doing bar work but wants to move further up north but is having no luck looking for farm work, bar work or waitressing jobs. If anyone knows of any then please drop me a line she has experience and references!!!! many Thanks!!!!
  2. Thankyou so much for this info....im going to give the council a call i was stressing about having a 400 square metered house or something like that! x
  3. Hi Statutory declarations played a major part in our proof of a relationship but i do think you will struggle without any bills. You need to speak to a registered migration agent. Try OE Visas Richard Greegan if you dont get any joy there try George Lombard hes in Sydney but he is supposed to be amazing!!! Hope you get it sorted x
  4. Hi DRC cannot be done from the UK as the medicals have to be done after the visa has been lodged and not before as is allowed in other countries from what i believe. Just to let you know....my visa rsms 119 offshore was submitted on the 26th March and weve had our medicals and police checks done they were requested 6 weeks after lodgement. Medicals have to be done after visa is lodged. We kept calling up melbourne and was constantly told 9 - 12 months processing time however, 4 weeks after it was lodged we were assigned a case officer. You will see its very quick...even though they tell you otherwise. Any questions just pm me....:biglaugh: x x x
  5. Hi were using golden arrow shippers...they are lovely and have great reviews also beat pet air by pounds!!!! x
  6. All i can say is im jealous myself and partners wage comes in at 80000 and we have worked out we could afford to live in oz! Good on you! x
  7. Hi lauren, it sounds like they think whilst you are in Australia they can get away with everything. In most contracts from letting agents there is always a clause as to say you have to go down the route of permission for decorating or any changes etc. You will be able to justify keeping somewhat of the deposit probably when you come to the end of their term..If you have their deposit in one of the schemes like the Tenancy deposit scheme you can put your issues forward like redecorating back to its original state. I would never dream of doing what these people have done. I am currently renting and would never dream of doing any of these changes its so wrong. The Letting Agents also sound like they are not complying with the obligations they have to you. Here is the Property Ombudsman's website there is a link to make a complaint about sales and letting agents http://www.tpos.co.uk/ There is also a contact number maybe call up get some advice and perhaps get the call logged with a reference number then put it into writing. They sound like they are seriously in breach of what is deemed to be acceptable! Hope you get this sorted its so bad! x
  8. Hi, Im a hairdresser in the UK and many of our clients tip. Thankgod they do as our wages are so poor i earn £150 in my hairdressing job a week so much so i have to do lots of work on my days off mobile to try to top my wages up! Our new employer in Oz said no one tips for hair services.....gutted lol just hope the wages makeup for it. I always tip taxi drivers, and in restaurants if it deserves it!

  12. Hi, my visa application for an rsms visa 119 was delivered on 26th March to Melbourne by my agent via DHL. We have proof it was delievered. Slight problem...my nomination expires in 8 days on the 21/04/2012 and i spoke to the melbourne processing team this morning and they have a backlog and it isnt on their system yet... Does anyone know if it has been in their offices for almost four weeks before my nomination expires and due to their backlog of visa applications whether they will accept my nomination as i have said we have proof it was delivered back in march. Very worried now and i cannot speak to them all weekend....ahhhh help!
