  1. Hi mate, yea read the post, I was basically saying people really need a pr visa,I didn't word it very well also I was trying not to be too negative. Nobody can tell you exactly how different people employers look at things ,but you need to be in Aus firstly for them to even think your serious with a visa or not, I did the downunder tradies Aus plumbing course a few years ago and there was a lot of lads on the courses who were also looking for sponsors , they had all sent loads of cvs off etc with very few replies, non positive, so I think in my opinion you will struggle to get sponsored whether in the uk or Aus. Iam trying to answer the questions to help other people who are also reading this post as nobody ever answers plumbing questions if you've noticed. Either way I really hope you get sorted, like I said NZ is the next best thing
  2. Hi, to be honest I don't think you've got a snowballs chance of getting sponsored from the uk without a pr visa and even then not much more of a chance with one, especially trying to do it from the uk, You need to be in Aus. NZ age is higher might be worth a go as we slowly watch the uk get more overcrowded etc etc. Good luck
  3. Hi again, you must go for pr you wont get sponsored by a company iam 99.9% sure of that ( but never say never ) we used visa bureau. Cheers
  4. .Hi. Its always a concern on the work front but I would be making sure I qualify for a visa first , enough points etc otherwise why worry. Check out poms in Adelaide theres some plumbing stuff on there. there is a lot of negativity about but you will only get a plumbing job in Aus when in Aus after you get your visa, no job without visa, chicken and egg iam afraid. Go for it, pr visas last for 5 years loads of time to sort things out and things change. In short You can subcontract on a prov license better to work for a company thou until you complete further training at more cost, until fully licensed work has to be signed off by a registered plumber.etc etc . Were off in a few weeks but I will not be looking for plumbing work I want something a bit easier on the body, lol . Good luck
  5. HI, Ive just sent someone the same message, you will be very very lucky to get a plumbing/gasfitter job or sponsorship from the uk as there is loads of plumbers in Aus already. Iam not sure if you know but any quals or experience doesn't count for much and you have to re train to get Aus quals. look up Dalton or garyupnorth on poms in Adelaide its tells you what to expect. Good luck and stick at it.
  6. Hi, I don't want to burst your bubble but I don't think theres much chance of that happening with what I know, tons of plumbers in oz as it is. Its also the hardest trade to get into with all the re training and licenses etc,. I don't know your circumstances but a state sponsored visa is your best bet, I always think you are best to talk to a migration agent, we used visa bureau, they wont get you a job but tell you your best options. there is a expo (downunder live) coming up at Birmingham Feb 8-9th www.downunderlive.co.uk/event-birmingham.php maybe worth a try . Hope this helps and good luck. Ro
