Where are you guys going. are you shipping stuff? our container went yesterday..house very empty now. We are renting our house out initially for a year or so and see how we get on. <p><p>I saw your recent post regarding schools in the Hills and i wanted to just drop you a quick note to say hi as we dont yet know anyone that is living there!</p></p>

<p><p>We are an Irish couple with a 6 year old daughter and we arrive on 27 August. We have started to look for schools in the area for our daughter to start in Feb 2013. There seem to be lots of nice rental properties but i believe there is a significant demand and can be difficult to secure.</p></p>

<p><p>I was just reading your post about you looking for pubs int he Hills district...hope you got sorted. We are an couple from Dublin with a 6 yr old and we are moving to sydney in sept. How do you find the Hills area? We are looking castle hill area. i will probably be working in the city, do you do the commute, how it is? how long are you there, any major problems that you encountered?</p></p>

<p>Thanks so much for that post on Newcastle. I think it would suit us great, except for the commute id I was working in Sydney. I am a financial advisor and would imagine will need to go to Sydney to work, although im sure there are a number of banks and insurances companies in Newcastle that I could possiblty work for.</p>

<p>You are right about moving closer to Sydney, the commute is less but I would imagine places would be significantly smaller. My wife (secondary school teacher) would be grand as im sure she would be working in the area close enought to where we eventually settle. If it was a very small area and she was not working she would go potty on her own...she loves the buzz of a town and shopping centres to go and wander around!</p>
